I read somewhere it was around 50-60% find homes during the transfer window and it goes up to around 83% of all D1 kids find a new home by the season.I am curious as to how many get left without a spot on someone's roster. Some go to a higher level, some sideways, and some drop to a lower level. Some get left out and have to pay out of pocket (like me) if they desire a degree.
So keep virtually the same roster that went 3-9?We don’t know if they’ll be replaced by better guys. And better guys are expensive.
I never said that. It’s just a bigger gamble the more your best players leave. That was my only point. So keep virtually the same roster that went 3-9?
What I have read is a little lower for D1 players only 70% find a new home.I read somewhere it was around 50-60% find homes during the transfer window and it goes up to around 83% of all D1 kids find a new home by the season.
That is a surprising number to me. If that number included all divisions, I would understand. You would think that most D1 kids could make a roster on a lower division school. Not doubting your number. What I have read is a little lower for D1 players only 70% find a new home.
But that doesn't fit the narrative!Considering the need for a talent upgrade after 3-9 and an overhaul of our staff, seems pretty reasonable that we would have 25(so far).
My guess is these guys came to us asking for $X and we said at that price, you can go elsewhere.Could be sour grapes, could be true. Either way it goes to limiting attrition to guys you want to leave or get at least replacement level as much as possible.
Tying up a big portion of your budget at WR is bad planning. My guess is these guys came to us asking for $X and we said at that price, you can go elsewhere.
Yeah but like no source so CLEARLY we can't believe him
(am I doing this right?)
I would think some of the guys Fran is letting go could possibly be due to academics.Yeah but like no source so CLEARLY we can't believe him

Doesn’t Mark Petry have another year of eligibility after being out with an ACL last season ?So keep virtually the same roster that went 3-9?
