This is, in part, possible because of the lower tuition.

A $2M scholarship funding at UNC would fund 48 full-tuition scholarships (48x$41k=~$2M).

At Duke, the same $2M funds only 28.5 full-tuition scholarships (28.5x$70k=~$2M)

I’m not saying UNC is fully funding 48 … only that their dollar goes further because of the relative tuition advantage.

for the record, i'm surprised penn state hasn't shown big this year. believe they will, maybe it was just too soon this fall.

They definitely assed some. Not sure how many but I wouldn't be shocked if they doubled the # or close to it.

unc pledged +195 scholarships were happening as house finalized. after football/basketball, baseball/softball, and for sure heavy on womens soccer, that's probably around 130 or so scholarship increases for the rest of their sports.

that's... a lot.

I never doubted you but had to see it for myself. That's awesome for UNC athletes.

The settlement removes scholarship limits for all sports, so we will increase our scholarship allotment by nearly 200 across our 28-sport program (338 to 532).

You are absolutely right. I really do wish peck stayed in that 2026 class. I guess to my own selfish desire of the class looking even better on paper. But I will say, 2026 is a really nice class.

What in your guys opinion has been the best class on paper since the famous 2022 haul? Mine is 2026. Even with the loss of peck.

Peck is basically 2026, he just gets an extra year in the system instead of a year of High school ball
