There are sections of students and alumni who care certainly at every school. But, even as a Hop alum, the answer is Syracuse, and it's not particularly close to any other school.

But what's become clear is that many players, with some exceptions, don't place that as highly on their list of considerations (or the coaches are just straight misleading them).

There are sections of students and alumni who care certainly at every school. But, even as a Hop alum, the answer is Syracuse, and it's not particularly close to any other school.

But what's become clear is that many players, with some exceptions, don't place that as highly on their list of considerations (or the coaches are just straight misleading them).

If every recruit just experienced scoring a goal or making a big play in the dome it would be hard to not come here. Even if there are only 5k in the stands, it sounds massive in the dome compared to any other venue in the sport. Everyone else in college looks like a couple parents quietly clapping in the bleachers by comparison. Then for the bigger games the atmosphere is completely unbeatable. The ND game and Harvard playoff game this year, the UVA game last year, the only comparable atmosphere in the entire sport might be the Buffalo Bandits games in the NLL. I remember when Hottle scored that coast to coast goal against UVA as a freshman in 2024. The place was going nuts and you could see how hyped he was just from the crowd reaction. I remember thinking "this dude is never transferring."

psu's recent moves do sorta suggest they have pivoted to a plan B but you never know...douglas is a righty so he doesnt necessarily preclude matthews as well plus matthews can play attack

Glad penn state doing well. As i am cuse thru n thru. As stated many times my entire family is penn state fans. My dad is a die hard penn state fan. So much he has even gone to girls volleyball n men’s wrestling matches often. So i do enjoy when penn state does well for obvious reasons. But sure will break my fathers heart when my kid finally grows up n collage time n chooses syracuse over penn state n can finally end the argument with him where my kid goes. lol

They are celebrities in this town, if coaching staff is not maximizing that point it would be straight criminal.. that should be our biggest seller outside of legacy. The school involved with Data Analytics, Technical Design (UI/UX), and Comp Science is also really emerging so while we don’t have the finance side we need to be targeting those looking at engineering as a career choice. I had a few buddies go for Industrial/Electrical engineering and that dept seems strong as well.

We also are Syracuse lacrosse, we don’t beg for players to come, only want the guys who want to be here and are committed continue the legacy. Come on now.

It's just a bad look be it SU or another blue blood program or a D3 school. I know for fball and bball players sometimes like fans to interact with them and encouraging them to post but that usually comes with them posting something asking for fanbases to show love or whatever. To randomly post in a teenagers Instagram unsolicited even if you mean well is not helpful and looks weird/creepy. Nothing wrong with commenting on a commitment post wishing them well or congratulating them if they pick SU or not but again just randomly posting unsolicited is not a good look. I would again encourage anyone from here not to do it.
