2027 Recruiting

Big time, baseline requirement for ACC lax these days
Well maybe instead of me getting worked up about rankings, I should be more happy that our next 3 classes have pure athletes on them also with size.. you can’t teach athleticism, but u can teach skill throughout your 4-5 years in the system. It’s not like these kids don’t have skill either but maybe throughout first couple years in system you can bring the kids with great athleticism from a 4 to a 5 * in terms of skill.

Bryce really likes drawing out these Cuse announcements . . .

I know it's up to the players to post when they're ready but I feel like he teases the Syracuse announcements much earlier than for all other teams.

The suspense!
Im
Over here like they must be on Cali time cause I’m almost ready for bed man 😅

Maybe we’ll get a surprise 5 star tonight or tomorrow & the FOGO

I wouldn't hold my breath for any of the remaining 5*s.

The most discussed is Matthews and while still a possibility, as noted his connections to Penn St seem to make that a favored landing spot although of course Cuse would be a slightly more ideal landing spot for him in terms of style of play.

Cross seems destined for Notre Dame.

Morsell may be the Haverford wearing player folks saw in Syracuse (I have no idea), but he seems to have pretty solid connections to Maryland.

Haven't heard anything connecting Lynch or Czepiel to Cuse and I have a feeling they may be bound for some combo of Duke & ND. Or Maryland.

Caldroney has been pretty firmly Ivy or Hopkins but it seems like Princeton may have won out (again, no inside info - just gathering from bits of convo here and there).

However, plenty of other talented players out there and I'm sure the staff will bring in strong players that will excel. ND, Duke, UVA, and UNC have been on another level recruiting the last few years. Sustained success the next two years will go a long way towards building the foundation to level the recruiting field.

yes, hearing caldroney is headed to princeton

we'll see how things end up but right now dartmouth is keeping pace with cornell, penn, brown, and yale...

princeton in a class by itself in the ivy

the bladon news is interesting from a matthews perspective...they were both lefty canadian A/Ms...youd think thered only be room for one such player at a school like penn state...getting bladon could be a sign they missed out on matthews...just connecting dots here...i know nothing

Fingers crossed for morsell

my guess is the players have the design, they just don't want to post it later in the evening

For anyone with time/inclination that can assess tape, any thought on Madsen Ehrhart’s tape? He’s a lower-end 4⭐️ and PrimeTime player.

Link

Don’t think he’s getting love from ACC schools, but know he has Ivy offers.

This is, in part, possible because of the lower tuition.

A $2M scholarship funding at UNC would fund 48 full-tuition scholarships (48x$41k=~$2M).

At Duke, the same $2M funds only 28.5 full-tuition scholarships (28.5x$70k=~$2M)

I’m not saying UNC is fully funding 48 … only that their dollar goes further because of the relative tuition advantage.
I’ve been told they are fully funded, along with another ACC school (not Cuse)

Jack Crowell, Goalie, to Princeton.

Ranked 5* by one recruiting service, near #100 on another. A good reminder that all of this is just projections and a lot can change in two years and once they get on campus. It's fun to get invested but the most important thing is the culture, commitment, and coaching once these players, who are all talented, get to campus.

Crowell is a stud. Think the 5 star ranking is closer to the truth IMO. Madalon was a goalie back in the day and knows how to recruit the position; worst save percentage a Princeton starter has had over the course of a season during his tenure is 53%. And he's had like 5 different starters.

Bryce has a 72 hour turn time at minimum on posts. He spaces them out over the day but it appears to follow in the order the kids reach out to him to build the post.

True, although the way he worded made it sound like all three Syracuse players were announcing yesterday. He must have meant they committed/told him yesterday. It does make sense for him to spread them out, gives each kid their moment in the sun. Just hope no one on here stayed up all night waiting!
