The NCAA eliminated head count scholarships.Fully funded? Can you explain. I must have missed this one. UNC has 48 full scholarships to hand out?

Is there a source to support that UNC went fully funded? I've never heard another coach or anyone at Inside Lacrosse state that any program was going to add that many 'ships. Really, all the indicators were that no program was going to come close to fully funding.Losing the battle to a school that fully funds all 48 LAX scholarships?
No Morsell for Cuse.
That's a huge advantage if true.
no. there is no source that says they are fully funded. nor anyone else.Is there a source to support that UNC went fully funded? And you add those scholarships for men's lacrosse, you have to add correlating scholarships for a women's sport. That's around a $3 to $4 million cost per year with no ROI.
Issssss thatttt sooooo….hmmmmI have reason to believe we will be getting an official commitment soon from a Midfielder that plays for the Orangeville Northmen
Max Kruger, son of Orangeville's head coach has Cuse Lax in his Insta bio, hes an IL 3 Star but NLF #56 overall, and based on his 138 points in 35 games in the OJLL and 20 points in 5 games at the Minto Cup at 17, I'm going to lean towards the latter being more accurate. See post #763 in this thread where Whitey23 referred us to this article from June where UNC announced that post-House case settlement they have increased scholarships by nearly 200 across their 28 sports. Is there a source to support that UNC went fully funded? Sorry its not Ayden Matthews, though I dont think we aren't out on him, Kruger is more of an Attack than a Midfielder in my opinion based on stats I have seen
Kruger was awesome this summer as a rookie in the OJLL. I haven't seen him or Ayden Matthews play much field lacrosse, so I don't know how they compare as college recruits.
but that doesn't answer his question. you said you heard unc and another school are fully funded. what's the source on that? what does fully funded mean in the context that you meant it?The NCAA eliminated head count scholarships.

Understanding the New NCAA Scholarship Limits: What It Means for Student-Athletes - Honest Game
With the NCAA expanding roster spots and scholarships, learn why academic eligibility is more crucial than ever for student-athletes aspiring to compete in college sports.honestgame.com
Correct, there is no article that has come out stating it. My comment is based on multiple conversations with club coaches/HS coaches.no. there is no source that says they are fully funded. nor anyone else.
i would bet a s***-ton of money that no mens lacrosse programs are fully funded in year one.Something to ponder about UNC and another ACC school apparently fully funding all 48 scholarships -- will other Power 4 schools (ACC, B1G, maybe including Big East) be able to compete in the sport without also doing so? Will this eventually bring the sport of lacrosse at P4 schools to a tipping point whereby schools will have to decide to either fully fund all 48 (38 for women) scholarships or drop the sport? And will it also affect the Ivys although they don't fund athletic scholarships? What will all this mean for future of college lacrosse?
yeah thats insane, a boarderline 5 star by 1, a mid to high 4 star on another, and a 3 star on the third, just based on the stats and how our offense tends to work, I think Xanders and NLF are a lot closer to his real talent than ILkruger is ranked no. 25 by ty xanders. he is who i referenced recently. i cant believe IL only ranks him as a 3 star...

4 star is appropriate. he is very talented but still has more to prove in field lacrosse. box stars dont always translate to field. but its obvious IL doesnt watch any box at all...yeah thats insane, a boarderline 5 star by 1, a mid to high 4 star on another, and a 3 star on the third, just based on the stats and how our offense tends to work, I think Xanders and NLF are a lot closer to his real talent than IL
Just watched his game winning goal and first goal. And his point accumulation was impressive.Kruger was awesome this summer as a rookie in the OJLL. I haven't seen him or Ayden Matthews play much field lacrosse, so I don't know how they compare as college recruits.
that was my conclusion, from what I have seen a ranking around 50 feels about right until proven otherwise with regards to field.4 star is appropriate. he is very talented but still has more to prove in field lacrosse. box stars dont always translate to field. but its obvious IL doesnt watch any box at all...
