2027 Recruiting

PSU has come a long way under Tambroni plus remember he has a family connection there, it's not just him being recruited out of the blue.

SU has a couple of prospects on campus this weekend. A high end mid they are after I believe a few defenders etc. I assume Matthews is probably out taking visits, don't believe he has been here yet so could be this weekend.
Appreciate the info and education on lacrosse. Thank you!

Thanks Jeremy! Good work. You and nyclax are elite for Syracuse lacrosse news. Is the high end mid top 100? Also any of the defenders? Thanks

I would imagine Cornell would be after Matthew’s they have a long history with recruiting high end high academic Canadian’s. They did just win a NC and have yet to make a lot of noise in this years recruiting class

a couple of known 2026 guys liked the post, 1 of them is a 4 star D currently commited to Yale, another to queens(wouldnt be shocked if he flips considering the state of the school, but hes also probably a bit too low level for Feldy to care)

Queens is merging into Elon University.

IL top 100 recruit. I want to say number 82. From Rochester area I think.

So this was my recruit for this weekend. Syracuse offered on Labor Day. At least one Big Ten school also offered. He's played left attack since 7th grade (was a midfielder as a youth). Moved to Sweetlax last fall (from Albany Power) and was told he was a middie as they were stacked at attack. Really had a strong summer and had some positive social media attention which helped move him from a regional recruit to a national level recruit.

The kicker is he's pretty young. He's a "summer baby" at an Upstate public high school. Canadiens like Kruger are almost two full years older and I'd guess most national level '28s are as old or older than he is with all the reclassing. Some NE Prep schools have been courting him but he hasnt shown a strong interest as far as i know.

Michael Leo is the comp. Not a complete burner or jitter bug, but fast enough, shifty enough, with real good body control.

Wow was the #2 fogo in the 26 class now going to UNC. odd move with the #3 fogo already committed there

Yeah, will be joining a much more crowded FO room. PSU now a bit thin at the position - the path to playing time there was much more clear.

Kids really are just going wherever they want. Hard to fault them. Everyone wants to be in Chapel Hill (which is a bit overrated in my totally unbiased opinion).

I wonder if their other FOGO starts looking around - Cuse I'm sure would be a welcoming place.

I mean, I'm not even being flippant. Your recruiting ranking and projection is only as good as the other players in your cycle, and coaching and program culture still plays a major role in developing players. Raw talent can raise your floor, but we have a big enough sample size to attribute at least some correlation to this dynamic. Getting a player on campus is one thing, fine tuning them into having the drive and tool set to win is another.

Oh I know, I just thought posting the Steven A Clip would be funny, I totally agree with what you are saying.
