#3 in Scoring Offense, #1 in Scoring Defense

Take a picture of those stats. Hopefully we'll still be highly rated in those numbers at the end of the season.

But yeah, we beat those teams like a powerhouse beats those teams. 37-0 and 45-7. At halftime.

#3 in total offense, #6 in total defense.

I get the opponents, but that is awesome.

And that’s with running the two’s and three’s out there for four quarters.

#29 in rushing, #6 in passing, #23 in rush d, #13 in pass d.
Week 3

5th in scoring, 4th in scoring defense

UCF is 1, 28
Miami is 15, 19
Oregon is 4,31
UCLA is 10, 25
Kansas is 17, 21

That’s a very nice group to be in.

Cool!

Thanks for posting this summary.

To be a good team, you need to beat peer teams -- and last night was a great start.

Think we're positioned really, really well against Pitt, VT, GT, and BC.

Going to be a great year.

Shrader's unselfishness at the end cost us 17 yards and 7 points.

What a jerk.

Think about that for a second.

99 out of 100 players would have taken that to the house. But the senior QB who's been there / done rhat recognizes that the objective to win and end the game instead of wracking up more stats.

Would have been nice cosmetically to post another score on them, to double them up, though

How can we be first in red zone possessions but only 4th in red zone scores?

Turnovers, missed FG. Kneel down to the the game last night.

20 attempts, 13 td’s, 3 fgs, 2 fumbles, one missed fg, victory formation
Ah, didn't realize the fumbles were red zone.

And in his post-game interview when Emily brought it up he said "Who cares?" LOL

If I had known Purdue was going to call a TO after that play I would have been hoping for Shrader to go ahead and score.

It would have made an outstanding sports center highlight.

One other thought: this was on NBC at night. The whole country saw it. I'll bet SU gets a nice bump toward the polls and maybe Shrader gets a mention as a borderline Heisman candidate if we were to keep winning.

Keep GS healthy and I think we win most of those games. Having Beck and Rocky will keep up us in almost every game, if not every game.

Going back to Wake last year, 6 straight games of 443 yds or more in total offense. 5 of those 6, 32 or more pts.

Longest streak since last 7 games of 2012. Scored 31 or more in 6 of those games.

what’s weird is there feels like there is headroom with the offense, they haven’t peaked.

Good numbers in spite of a lot of balls that should have been caught.

The interception should have been a completion, but the db made a great play and our receiver didn't.

The unit missed Gadsden badly, but we still looked very good.

I definitely think the experience the receivers have gotten will be very helpful.

I agree we haven't peaked.

If he wants to get into the heisman conversation he should’ve taken it to the house.

Without Gadsden we forced Purdue to shift their defense to the back line, even with the drops because our guys were getting so open.

You know what's ironic about this, is that that's all the sports shows on ACC Network and College Sports Radio (SiriusXM) talked about regarding Syracuse - Shrader's ball fake and his decision to slide - how it was a smart play, one that both ended the game but showed scoring wasn't paramount. So, it kind of did make the highlights.

I kind of wished that Shrader didn't waste it at the end of the game. It brought a lot of attention to it and you know future opponents will be watching it closely.
