They lost to a team from the Big10?UMass 87, Miami 83..
Not sure they deserve to get in. They were 54in the NET before today, and 26of their wins were Q3 or 4. Maybe sneak into the play-in games.10 or 11 seed for them?
It was always my MinutemenUMass outright in Cleveland Thursday morning, unfortunately.
I would prefer Miami get in over a team like Indiana or Auburn. But I agree a case can reasonably be made against them with how few decent wins they actually have. Not sure they deserve to get in. Not if the team that was22-10 was Syracuse. If they’re gonna use the NET then it has to mean something. They didn’t have a Q1 game and only 2 Q2. (3 wins vs non D1 opponents)I would much rather have a team thats 54th and 31-0 then a team thats 45th and 22-10
See ya indiana and auburn. That sound you hear is the bubble popping for an unlucky P4 team.
A lot of folks called this one. They'll be one of the teams in the First Four now for sure.UMass 87, Miami 83..
I dont care.. I watched them a bunch of times. They play hard and they played pretty solid 31 times to win all the games. They are not one of the best 30-40 teams but they are also better then 10-20 teams that will get in on other criteria too.Not if the team that was22-10 was Syracuse. If the idea is to have a national championship tournament, then at large bids should, imho, go to teams with a high ceiling. It’s really not a “make them feel good” tournament.I dont care.. the teams that lost 10-12 games might have a higher cieling but also played to a lower floor a few times. We have 68 teams, I think reward for a 31-0 schedule should also count.

Can you wrap your ahead around the fact that their strength of schedule was 340 out of 354 D1 teams? And 29 of the 31 wins were eitherQ4 or non D1? Sorry, but that kind of schedule just doesn’t rate with me. Maybe, if they’re gonna use actually played someone in the non-conference I’d feel different. But then they probably wouldn’t be 31-1.I can't wrap my head around anybody looking at a 31-1 team and arguring that they don't belong in the NCAA tournament.

Agree that too many P4 schools do that. But almost every other school in the MAC managed to find a couple Q1 or 2 games, so it certainly wasn’t impossible. Are you also going to punish the P4+BE schools who are advised by their conferences to not schedule teams the caliber of Miami (typically Q3 level school rom year to year), and load up on bottom half Q4 schools?
For NET purposes, P4 OOC schedules are generally matchups against each other, and then against the worse of college basketball.
Bye USF! Thanks for playing
