The AD staff actually borrowed the idea from FSU. Great move. Credit the mayor’s office for supporting this 100%. I hope everyone goes and this becomes an annual event downtown..

Did this come out of the fan council? I forgot the official name of the group.
Great idea. Wish they would do this type of thing on game day in Armory. Make it a huge block party every ACC home game. Start the train back up, the 44 Express. If local government would get involved, and SU would pony up some dough, while securing sponsors, this could be an amazing long term coming together of SU fans that simply can't really happen on the hill.
Fantastic. Very happy with this as a diehard lunatic fan.I can neither confirm nor deny...
Yeah, me neither.I can neither confirm nor deny...
Isnt there a pre-game party/tailgate at Hotel Syracuse before every home game? Can anyone comment on the experience? I'm particularly interested in how well it works taking the bus from there to the dome. Looking to bring a family member to the SU game who has recently dealt with some back issues and am trying to keep the walking to a minimum while also getting the timing right. Thanks in advance.
Deezy coming through!I did the pregame party and took the shuttle from Shaughnessy's for a game last year where the weather was too cold and wet for the wives and girlfriends for tailgating. Definitely a fun atmosphere, although everything was inside as opposed to the usual setup out on the street due to the weather.
The wait to take the shuttle up to the Dome was a bit long, as the buses have to deal with all of the traffic in the University area. If my drunken brain remembers correctly, the buses travel up Adams to University and drops you off on Waverly by the Schine Center. Pickup is back in this location, so there is still a bit of a hike to and from the Dome, and not on flat ground, but it's not too bad.
