There is a lot of nuance in life, but when you deal with massively impactful tasks, it doesn’t always make sense ignore the simple answer in the name of “seeing the grey.” Sometimes it really is as simple as the leadership team wasn’t good and it needs a revamp. You can find a million excuses to support why you should run it back with the same old crew, but that doesn’t change the fact that a decade of underperformance doesn’t stop at the head man. If anything it calls even more into question.I don't think that's clear at all. I envy your black and white assessment of everything, it must make life a lot easier.
I envy your ability to not only ignore the obvious, but be so confident in doing so.
