5 bubble seasons without competing for a conference title

This assertion is refuted by JB’s own remarks on the subject, including things he’s said in the past few weeks. He always talks about how this is a very good job in part because of what a great and loyal fan base we have in upstate New York. As someone else said on this thread, we outdraw many NBA franchises in attendance.

I've never understood how the program that draws the biggest crowds doesn't have the best players.

The game has changed and our coach needs to adapt with it or our program will continue the slide.

I define a "contending" season as being a top 5 seed. It's a line that is not always really competitive, but at the same time we don't have to get in the BE / ACC who was better dispute.

We were a top 5 seed 24 of the first 36 years since 1979 (when seeding started). 67% of the time.

Now over a 5 year period are highest may only be a 10 seed. On the bright note, we have stayed average, and never been terrible yet.

The coach made an adaptation. It's just that the adaptation isn't really paying the dividends he expected it to.
