Other than agreeing with RF that someone needs to exhume Steve Jobs and tell him he needs to figure out streaming video, here are a couple random observations from the last couple games:
Love Carter-Williams' potential
Not really going out on a limb here, but nice to see the kid truly looks like he'll be a PG. Smooth, good feel. Still very much trying to figure out the speed and pace of the game (takes some bad shots and throws scary pass after scary pass), but I love that he looks to push the ball and I think he'll end up being a Rautins-type force at the top of the zone. that will be fun. Not sure how much he'll play as the season progresses but it's great that he's getting big minutes now.
Christmas is further along offensively than I would have guessed
I hadn't seen much of Christmas but what I had seen was unimpressive. But watching him through the first three games, I like the way he uses his body and seems very confident with the ball. I know some say he has the touch to hit 12-15 footers, but regardless of whether or not he ever gets there, he can be tough in the paint and yet another big, athletic body to utilize.
Love the Waiters/Southerland combo as well as the Fair/Keita combo off the bench
The best bench players tend to be guys that are really good on offense or are instant energy on the glass and the defensive end. To have two guys capable of scoring like Waiters/Southerland is an incredible luxury. And to be able to turn to Keita and Fair to mix it up defensively and hit the glass (fair obviously has good upside offensively as well) is ideal. I really think JB is going to end up 9 deep this year and maybe even 9.5.
A little more selfishness tonight
Thought Triche, Scoop and Dion all took some questionable threes as did MCW. Triche also forced the 1-on-3 break at one point. Generally played well and displayed unselfishness, however, so that's nit-picking.
