I got you:
I'm on a football field daily, Riley's celebration is not uncommon. I've done it myself more times than I can count.
I most certainly have, again, more times than I can count. Point being there doesn't have to be a guy in front of you to do it.No, you have not. Maybe similar to his 2nd fist pump where it comes across his body. but not his 1st. That is ridiculous.
There is no way you can look at the 2 and not at least see that I am more than likely correct. No one fist pumps a straight out, full extension punch at exactly face level. It just doesn't happen. Riley was caught up in emotion and wanted to get in the guys face. He did that. Good for him.
You are on a football field daily? You must be a coach. If 1 of your players did this at practice, you think its an accident? Not that you would care that he did it... but you would know he was trying to get under the skin of the other guy.
I never said it warranted a flag. And I clearly said he missed him on purpose.
But i don't know what to say if you think that is a normal fist pump. There isn't a question in my mind that he saw the guy and went up and specifically tried to "fist pump" by his head. It is exactly something i would do.
Yes, people do straight out, face level fist pumps, consistently. Simulating punches, it's a sign of exuberance. And, I don't need you to tell me I dont, nor that I see it.
If what you are saying is true then not only did it warrant a flag but an ejection. Also, its technically an assault.
Dixon just hurtled a guy to get a first down vs the #8 team in the country. He got up quickly and fist pumped into the air, when he saw the guy there he shifted slightly.
Do you really think he was trying to make the guy flinch or something? Like he had enough time after a bang bang play to hatch a wild fake punch?!
What else would a fist pump be described as? It's always been a simulated punch.so he simulated a punch? in your own words?
and he travelled 10 feet and significantly to his right to . . . . back and simulate that punch only to miss by an inch.
Complete accident.

Keep hanging on to your thought there, Riley Dixon will forever be notoriously labeled "the make you flinch so hard world champion shadow boxer."
He fist pumped in the vicinity of a defender, he definitely wanted to make him flinch so hard.
He was jacked up. The sequence your describing was quicker than the time the jack wagon from CMU had to pull up on ED.
Check this out... Maybe the refs knew about his past possibly
lol. Ridiculous thread!
He's a punter. He just hurdled a guy for a first down. He goes to throw a celebratory fist pump, but is so adrenaline rushed that he doesn't even notice the LSU player. He throws a second fist pump because he's thinking ", ref is going to think that was a punch, I better throw another one to make it clear!"
Pretty safe to say you're alone on this one.
\http://thebiglead.com/2015/09/26/sy...ender-on-a-fake-punt-celebrated-with-a-punch/CusefanAtl- you are crazy. Go to bed. It was a fist pump.
