Chris McCullough was no defensive specialist either. He played only 16 games, averaged 9.3 ppg and 6.9 rpg and he went pro even while recovering from an injury. Thompson is avg 8.4 and 3.2 playing out of position. Now I really don't believe he is any where near ready or qualified to go pro but just like somebody said, let him have a monster game under a spotlight like the NCAA and the talk will begin and with SU luck, he'll be gone before the uniforms are cleaned by the end of the year. There isn't a draft board on earth that has Taurean Thompson listed. You have to be able to play two ends of the court and rebound if you are 6'10.
Nobody said anything about 1st round. Just takes certain people to put the bug in his ear and he's gone (SU luck)Not in this years draft. When a guy like Giles is showing up out of the top ten in some places, TT is not going in the first round. He has to show something defensively and rebounding wise. While he may be smooth for a frosh, he is a long ways away from being an NBA guy.

I can't think of a person who thought he was a 2nd rounder who left early
