Reading through the lines... I'm assuming every Phase II project is up in the air until SU has a more definitive figure of the funding they are going to have available. I would assume A/C is a definite, and then other projects will be added on from there.

We now can calculate the size of the video board if someone has the dimensions of the basketball layout. Specifically at what yard line do the pullout bleachers end? Let that be x. Then (50-x)*2 = the width (in yards) of the new board.

It might be bigger but if it “only” extends to the 40 yard line-ish that’s the general size. I wouldn’t use the Dallas cowboys as the measuring stick though. That’s not apples to apples for viewing distances. Better reference point is be how big the current boards are.

According to drawings SU has released, the roof itself will be no more than 29 feet higher than the existing roof. When Pete says 80 feet higher, I believe he is referring to the crown truss that will support the new roof.

It will be higher on the east and west ends of the Dome. Should be able to see the high points of the truss from a lot of places you could never see the Dome from in the past.

Thinking how great a night game will look with the stadium filled with orange lights like Georgia did.

Tom - We have seen drawings of the Dome with what I presume is the crown truss.

Is that what the Dome will look like when the project is completed or is that the way it will look before the new roof is installed?
