Kaepernick's official time was 4.63, just a bit ahead of Aaron Donald.
Manziel was initially unofficially clocked at 4.56, it was revised and his official time was 4.68.

If Clowney had Aaron Donald's motor/work ethic your talking about the best DE prospect ever. Clowney is the most talented player in the draft, but he takes more plays off than Julius Peppers #2 overall pick in 2002 and I would hope Clowney ends up on a team with a coach who can motivate him. Donald seems like a kid who be a good pro anywhere.

People need to stop feeding into this media campaign against Clowney. Pretty much every player "takes" plays off. Randy Moss probably took off more plays than anyone in NFL history, but he's a 1st ballot HOF guy. I wouldn't be surprised if Clowney played last year very conservatively to avoid a major injury.

This takes nothing away from Donald who I think will be excellent, but I don't think Bortles or Bridgewater will be better pros than Clowney.

So you're saying Clowney will put up great individual stats but give up on his team when it matters most? What happens when Clowney is in a contract year and wants to avoid injury? Will it be ok for him to take off plays then too?

Not what I am saying at all. No NFL player is going full-tilt every play for 16 games. That's why everyone can stop with making a big deal about it. His talent is going to let him have a Freeney-like impact (teams double or chip him on all passing plays) even if he doesn't put up huge individual numbers.

Playing for free in college or playing for your next big contract is a little different isn't it?
