Acc! Acc! Acc!

The timing of this is sublime. When the ACC Network goes on line in August, it will feature the defending national champion and one of the other programs in the final four. And it looks like the ACC is likely to win another NC in basketball in a few months, with multiple Final Four participants very possible.

What a great time to start a new network!

True that!!

Do what?
Apply basic logic to the situation?
Let’s instead be illogical, immature, and non-pragmatic by refusing to “root” for another ACC team, aka “Cut off our nose, to spite our face”. That’ll learn ‘em!

Baby steps...but you're getting there.
The question to ask is; "Can SU become good enough to beat a Natl Champion Clemson at the Dome this year"? I have faith in HCDB that we can...and we will.
Arguably our biggest win in 20 years was the one versus this same Clemson program.
We received multiple shout outs during the CFP, because we were the only team to give them a game this past season.
So, yes...Clemson winning the NC, actually benefits the SU program, financially, competitively, and as a conference. Its not that hard...seriously.
Agree. FSU and Clemson have established that it is possible to win NCs in the ACC. Maybe we can't get to the title game every season, but when the stars align, we can compete with anyone.

The commitment the university has made to the football program with the Dome renovation project and the Babers extension is a great sign.

We are in it to win it. War Damn Otto baby!
On the old Big East Georgetown won, Villanova, St John's and Georgetown in final four, then Providence, and Syracuse, and recruiting took off. Kids only care about what have you done lately?

The current speculation is that Saban will leave in no more than 5 years and that Dabo will replace him, with his being a Bama alum as the draw. Could easily be a dream on the part of Bama fans, but that's the story that's circulating.
I'd argue that "current speculation," as the variables seem too many. I do get the feel that Saban might be in the early stages of burnout, but Swinney just seems authentic, at Clemson. Swinney will be Swinney wherever he goes and whatever he does, and he'll be good at it, but Alabama just doesn't seem like a fit, for him. I don't have an inside track for what's going on, at Alabama, but what you're proposing seems way premature. Call me nuts, but Schwartzwalder comes to mind, regarding Saban's future... Cheers

Clemson’s NC won’t have any appreciable impact on SU. Gun to me head, I’d say it’s better for SU than it is bad for SU. But the impacts are probably far too indirect to really matter.

I'd have to agree with this. If Syracuse wants to see recruiting improve, Syracuse needs to keep winning, and Dino needs to keep being Dino
