Virginia captured its ninth consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference Rowing Championship, winning all five events, and its 18th title in the 19 years of the event Sunday at Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C.

In all, Virginia has now won 25 of the last 26 ACC Rowing finals events and 73 of 80 events all-time.

The Championship was held in very hot conditions, with temperatures reaching as high as 90 degrees with a very slight crosswind of 1.5 to 3 mph.

The Cavaliers posted a score of 99 points, followed by Syracuse, which finished second with 77 points. The finish for the Orange was their second straight runner-up effort in the ACC Championship. Virginia has now posted a perfect score in the Championship for the third time in the last four years.
