ACC Power rankings from ESPN

I saw SU play three games and that's all I need to know about Orange Football. I saw Georgia Tech (ahem). But a good indicator is common opponents. I won't keep harping on the fact that we beat NW and PSU and SU did not. Let's go on the Stats:

Total Yards: You allowed NW to run up 581 yards while we only allowed 348 (it was an away game for us). Penn State, it was a dead heat: 353 and 353.

I was also at the SU at Minn game last year. We made Nassib look terrible. Broyles didn't play well either, and I see he has underwhelmed this year.

Different coaches Marrone & Shafer, but I'm sure the "Defensive Hack Mentality" has remained. By Hack, I mean dirty. Syracuse was the dirtiest team we played last year with the exception of Texas Tech. We can handle that and it will just rack up penalty yards (which I see you being over-achievers in).
I must assume, by your own statements, that you equate dirty play to penalties. Not sure I buy this, but OK, it's your dime, Sparky. In our game last year, we had 2 personal fouls. You had 1. I guess the TX Tech game must have been REAL chippy.

If SU is 8th in the ACC, most certainly Minnesota would be ranked in the top 5. The brutal truth - SU lost to Penn State (ranked 7th in the B1G) and Northwestern (Ranked 10th). Both games were not close.

I realize rankings aren't the end-all, but you should at the very least acknowledge that beating the Gophers will take SU playing their best game and UMn playing their worst. Not only do the rankings bear this out, but the stats do as well. UMn ran all over Penn State and NW.

The game against Penn State wasn't close? Which year?

Halftime - 6-3 Penn State
End of 3rd Qtr - 13-10 Penn State
Final Score - 23-17 Penn State
