Coach McDonald has been on him for nearly 3 years and on this visit an official Syracuse offer was extended. Akeem had a great time, Durell Eskridge was his host. He was taken by the close knit feeling throughout the team. The offense we will be running is the same as he ran at his high school, Miami Carol City. Jones is looking for one more "big offer" like Clemson where he has some connections. AK says he won't commit until signing day or beyond. He also likes Marshall where he has connections as well. Jones has made an unoffical visit to FSU during their game vs Florida. Has talked with FAU, UF, BC & Utah St.
During his senior season he threw for 1,516 yards, 16 TD's and just 6 int's. Akeem is listed at 6-2 or 6-3 depending on what site you visit and when the information was provided.

I don't know why but the first name that comes to mind after watching Jones is Malik Campbell. Might be out of right field, sorry home with flu or something but that's what I think.

I don't put much weight into 40 times listed on recruiting sites.
They aren't running these 40's in a standardized environment like the NFL Combine.
There are way too many variables for a recruiting site 40 time to give an accurate idea of a player's speed.

The kid himself reported those numbers. Like an SU coach once told me, the only numbers we believe are the ones we do ourselves and then some of those could be off.

I think that bringing in two QB's this year indicates that Broyld probably won't be playing QB.
