He's already enrolled.. must be he's going to be back on campus soon and he has some catch up to do (learning the playbook/schemes) since he's missed a good portion of camp. Classes are also starting in the next two weeks. Probably trying to cut out all unnecessary distractions.

Why can't we speculate? That is what this board is all about. He's a prized recruit who went home, and people are concerned about his status.

Whether it’s homesickness, a kid, family members, sickness etc, I believe the staff is doing right by letting him take as much time he needs. You want to make sure he comes back so you give him time, help him out whatever. He was going to redshirt anyway.

Remember the article about the freshman hanging out at Shafer’s house this summer and how Shaf is trying to help their mental well being? There was a peculiar quote in there about a kid being homesick. I’m surprised nobody picked that out. Maybe it was him. To paraphrase – Shaf asked how everyone was doing, if anyone was homesick etc. They all said no. Shaf said later in the day some other kids came up to him and said “he’s homesick coach” ….. I can’t find the article. Maybe somebody has it or remembers. I’d like to go back and read the exact exchange.

Because it's a 17-18 year old kid that has clearly been excused from the program for the time being for a reason neither coach nor player wants to disclose. Would you want people speculating about your son or daughter on a message board?

He's an athlete who is used to a lot of attention. He's not being subjected to negative attacks. People are hoping he's ok, and that he gets back to campus asap. Your logic would dictate that the thread on Corey Cooper's transfer should be stopped.

Yep. Speculation on that should probably chill too. "Athlete used to attention" is not a good excuse to make stuff up sans any info outside of a tweet.

It's potentially awful for the family too. Who knows what's going on. All that we know is that it's something the coaches and the family don't want out there. That's good enough for me.

I don't think Cooper was there. I thought the pool party were the summer start freshman. I'll have to dig the article up; haven't been able to find it.
