Amusing that many of the people that are so certain about

Nassib had 1312 pass attempts in 4 years and 28 INT over that time. Drew Allen has 78 attempts this year and 6 INT already along with multiple knocked passes at the LOS. Drew Allen is not Ryan Nassib. Nassib took crap but all in all the fans grew up with him and while he wasn't the fastest athlete he was a good QB who I and most fans liked. Don't give me this crap if your going to say people are saying Allen is a horrific QB either identify them by name or knock it off. I hate when people use the FOX News "some people say blah blah" crap ANYBODY can be some people. Nassib's first year as starter 2010 he had 8 INTs the whole year and while Nassib may not have been the QB 100% of the fanbase wanted him to be a clear majority loved and appreciated him for his grit and toughness and please don't tell me Allen has done anything to earn any patience from this fanbase for his performance thru 2 games.

Either your memory is short or you haven't been on this board very long.

As for your comment about the comment, where is the basis of that. I wasn't using some anonomous quote to assert that a segment of a population holds a position or opinion. What I said was that many (as in some, not all, a segment, a sampling, a subset) of the people making statements about the quality of Allen's play were the authors of many similar definitive statements going into last year and even during the season about Nassib.

It was done to gently tweak a couple of well known and highly opinionated posters who know who they are, and others do as well, were so certain, and incorrect about Nassib.

But if you took offense, I'm not particularly sorry.

I'm curious to know if the staff is happy enough with Kimble and/or Wilson that they realize Hunt might never be the starter.
I think that's absolutely in play, and may be affecting some decisions now. I'd throw AJ Long in to that mix though too.

Every single interception, thats every single one, is ALWAYS...100%...the QBs fault.

100%

Oh Lord

I find your response completely laughable. By your definiton I can find "many" people on this board to say almost anything and that any criticism is completely BS because you don't agree with. I don't care that @IthacaBarrel (I will say it because you won't) is critical he has right to his opinion, and its pretty obvious you were referring to him as he has been critical of Allen and was the critic of Nassib you are obviously referring. I could say some people think Drew Allen will take a snap in the NFL before Ryan Nassib and everyone will know who that person is but I don't care as they are entitled to their position, but your attitude of bullying people who are critical and don't agree with you is a joke and I know you weren't referring to me or I would have said identify me in my original post.

Hell this time a year ago you were talking about giving Marrone slack until he got his "own" quarterback and just waiting for Nassib's numbers to fall back because you were certain they would once conference play started.
i don't feel like having another 2009 where we suffer through a mess for most of the year to finally get it together in late november for a game or two.

if we're going to suffer, there might as well be some hope for a payoff.

we watched a lot of crappy qb play for 3 years and got the reward of watching the 35th best rated qb last year.

Take some weird pills this morning?

It was a joke, IB can take care of himself. I didn't make a judgment on the validity or not of their opinion, it was a comment on the common certainty and conclusiveness of similar negative opinions by the same people.

Sort of like when people say NOBODY thought SU could turn it around last year. And we know that's far from the truth. Talk about speaking for others.

Yeesh.

Who led the 17th ranked offense. I vaguely remember total yards being a fixation with you.

the offense was great last year. i was wrong about nassib's 4th year. my track record of being wrong about qbs 4th year does not apply to allen.

I was critical of Nassib after the Rutgers game, 2 picks, 2 fumbles? Nassib accounted for 4 turnovers. Similar numbers to Allen last week in the TO department, which is why many are being so critical of Allen now. I also publicly admitted that I was wrong after the next game or two. Nassib was the real deal and obviously didn't have as many glaring issues like Allen's low release and lack of familiarity with the offense. I'm not saying Allen will be the next Nassib, not at all. I feel like Nassib did that against a very very good defense last year and I'm still of the opinion that NW's defense is crap. Time will tell in that regard. Just explaining that some of us, or at least me, were concerned about Nassib's ball security and hence the criticism. If not for those turnovers, we might have been in the Orange bowl instead of the Pinstripe.

Pugh made all the difference last year IMO

Get yourself some happy pills man... yeesh at your over the top need to impose your will. It is ok others disagree and its kind of the point of the board is it not? Other than a select few (guessing haven't seen any for sure) most aren't ready to put Allen out to pasture. They simply are just looking at the future and the need to see what Hunt can do. Simple really.. but for some reason its turning into an all out attack. Same team man.. same team.

What? Imposing my will?

I'm agnostic on the whole thing. I haven't ripped Allen, haven't supported him, at the most observed that it's two games in. I haven't ripped Hunt, or called for him to get or not get snaps.

Who made you the arbiter of what applies and doesn't apply? It's not like kingotto is here to dole out acumen certifications.

I have named myself arbiter of naming arbiters, and from this day forward name Millhouse as arbiter of what applies and doesn't apply.

Arbiter? Earth's orbit around the sun is the arbiter. We don't have much time here with allen. We're not getting multiple seasons. This is it.

Isn't Arbiter from Halo? I keep thinking of my younger gaming days.

I wonder if SU is doing any drills that are helping Allen with this batted ball problem?

Are there and defensive linemen with short arms like Pugh?

1 thing is for certain:

This board is ABSOLUTELY FAMOUS for not being able to comprehend QB talent.

The innacurate level is about 99.9%.

At this point, there's really no reason to start Allen. Nor reason to start Hunt, he's got a better chance of being worse than PP than being Nunes.

Seriously, where are all the Loeb guys with the...'he's been here for 5 years!!, let him play!! mantra??

We got nothing, sit back and enjoy the ride.

If your agnostic then what is the point of criticizing other's track record and taking the position of being the only one in the know? I think your confusing the true definition of agnostic.

I'd like to see Hunt be the starter simply because we potentially have 2 more years from him after this year. I've said that from the day the QB competition began. There really isn't a huge difference between the two ability-wise IMO. If Allen came in and was SO much better, then that's one thing. But he wasn't and isn't SO much better. I like sticking with the "program" kid. Also, I think in this offense, having a pair of wheels is a necessity. Hunt > Allen.

I am not punching Allen in the dick either. I've liked Hunt all along and will continue to feel that way unless there is a significant improvement by Allen.

Still holding out some hope.

Side note: No need to argue and accuse people of being macho on a message board. The lack of context makes it impossible to determine if someone is being sarcastic or snarky. Just saying. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone specifically either, just a view I have from spending 14-16 hours/day on this board.

Bad first two games, too many opinions driven by frustration.. it is inevitable. Guilty as charged it just gets old seeing comments about opinions of opinions vs just saying what one's view is. Winning cures everything. Lets just hammer the hell outta the next two and go from there.

Jefe: I have put many beautiful pinatas in the storeroom, each of them filled with little suprises.

El Guapo: Many pinatas?

Jefe: Oh yes, many!

El Guapo: Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?

Jefe: A what?

El Guapo: A *plethora*.

Jefe: Oh yes, you have a plethora.

El Guapo: Jefe, what is a plethora?

Jefe: Why, El Guapo?

El Guapo: Well, you told me I have a plethora. And I just would like to know if you know what a plethora is. I would not like to think that a person would tell someone he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has *no idea* what it means to have a plethora.

Jefe: Forgive me, El Guapo. I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education. But could it be that once again, you are angry at something else, and are looking to take it out on me?
