because people are grabbing him as he blows by them

basically he faces Pitt defense every possession

That was an incredible block by Irving.

It really was. Made up for terrible team defense. No idea how Curry gets all the way to the hoop so easily in that situation, but great play to save it.

Lebron was getting whatever he wanted all game long, and the end of regulation play was a stepback, fadeaway long jumper.

Weird.

The rookie Kerr killed Blatt by going with the small lineup in OT. Ballsy move.

Unreal game.

Hope kyrie is okay as this series will be fun.

James played great. Curry had some huge plays, as did Andre, Kyrie, and speights even.

Btw- brewer Noah horford and speights all on Florida. Those are four legitimate NBA players.

Weirder to me is how he disappeared in overtime.

He was shooting a decent amount of jumpers all day, more were falling than normal. But you gotta get closer to the bucket there don't you?
Amazing to think how different the series is if he makes that shot (or Shump on the incredible follow); obviously Cleveland wins the game and Kyrie (presumably) doesn't get hurt. Kyrie has to be close to was last night for the Cavs to have a chance.

He's posting up.. That's what happens.

Yeah, not sure what skurey is seeing out there. LeBron went iso so many times last night. He did get hit a few times coming across the lane, but he dished out just as good as he got. He lowers the shoulder and bulls through people a ton.

One thing I did learn last night is that I have no idea what is a legal or illegal screen. Big men from both teams just knock guards out of the way at will, extending arms or maintaining the block (which is what they really are) while moving their feet.

I thought Iguodala won that game last night. Was able to slow Bron down and made some big shots including that dunk where he crossed up LeBron and blew by him. Got the crowd whipped up into a frenzy.

Pretty much everything is an illegal screen and they just never call it.

Even without the Kyrie injury, I'm happy if i'm Golden State. I really don't think Lebron is going to be consistently able to shoot like he did last night, and they still couldn't win, and he wasn't able to create as much for the other guys.

JR Smith; 3-13. Regression is a bitch.

Didn't he start off like 3-3 or 3-4?

I found it amazing that the talking heads all blamed Melo for how JR played in NYC and praised LeBron for the 'turnaround.' Wonder how they spin it today...

I mean, Lebron is going to make JR a better player than Melo will. But like i've been saying, he's still JR Smith. A guy who says he likes taking contested shots is going to have some 3-13's in him.

I get the feeling Golden State is fine with Lebron scoring 35 plus. As good as Cleveland played in spurts last night Golden State still won and weathered the storm. Their depth is too much for Cleveland to handle. With Kyrie not healthy this series isn't going more than 5.

I'm wondering if Kerr goes back to having Iquodala guard LeBron right away or wait until later in the game like last night. If Iggy gets on him early the fouls will add up quickly. I think having Barnes check him early is still a better move. Let LeBron tire himself out scoring early.

Barnes will start on him for sure. They won't start Iggy as Barnes has started all year.
