Tend to agree. Not sure he will have the length/accuracy from 45-55 that I think the pros are looking for, but Andre definitely has a chance and I hope he makes the most of it.

Andre does not have much distance on his kickoffs so Brady Denaburg kicked off last year. I think that will be a concern for making a pro roster.

How is that trolling? Because I disagree with a writer that's probably never even watch a single Syracuse football game? His kickoffs couldn't reach the goal line; in a controlled dome environment, no less. Was replaced on kickoffs with Denaburg. Kickers in the NFL, usually have to kickoff too. Szmyt was always more an accuracy guy, rather than a strong-legged kicker. His career arc was walk-on to Groza winner back to walk-on.

Fair enough. I’ll give you the “strong leg” is maybe a stretch but it’s possible they just meant that as he’s a really solid, dependable kicker. Probably not. Either way, he was a highly regarded kicker going into the draft.
