In what way does Louisville fit the ACC better than WVU?

Doesn’t. But they were an obvious Maryland replacement offsetting the basketball loss and being equal at least for fb.

Question you want to ask is in what way is Pitt better than WVU. They said academics at the time but both suck. Sure it’s in a city but everyone in that city is pedo st fans. Hoops is a wash. WVU is a more fun opponent since they have a good fanbase. ACC had no interest in Pitt first go round.

I think Pitt is considered a pretty good school.

A far better school than both WVU and Louisville.

Pitt's academics definitely don't suck. It has a similar academic profile to SU. 50-60th range undergrad with some elite graduate programs.

It's a school that is getting better and better - and for the money is a very attractive place for good students - at least in Pennsylvania.

I know Pitt sent me some material when I was looking at colleges. So based on that, they obviously go for the cream of the crop in the academic world

Pitt has an EXCELLENT academic reputation, especially med and research, which plays into ACC genetics VERY well. Top 60 in overall (57 to our 54), engineering, top 30 for veterans (30 to our 27), top 20 for public schools, over $4 Billion endowment (vs our $1.3). You are getting Pitt mixed with the wrong group of schools.
