I don’t think the voters care about margin at this point. Beating uconn by 7 or 70 doesn’t really matter. We beat unlv and they are ranked. Is what it is

We don't have style points. All these 1 score victories haven't helped us. We needed some touchdowns or stopping the other team from scoring late at the end of these games. Both Cal and UConn should have been minimum 2 TD wins but we are not good at padding and piling up more points or stopping our opponents from getting a late TD.

The bad thing is they are 1 score games but we controlled all of them.

They do, because they aren't actually watching any of our games or doing any substantial statistical analysis. They glance at our schedule, see that we've played a bunch of close games, and go "ah, clearly this team is lucky."

It definitely matters. The voters maybe see highlights at most. A 7 point win over UConn is not going to impress them.

You can't suck for 25 years and expect consistent fan attendance. We've lost a generation of potential fans. I'm 35 and often one of the youngest people at a Cuse tailgate.

To be honest. ESPN gameday is about the best game of the weekend... we were always that longshot, and Axe even said it in a play team thing indirectly... It depends on the teams we play... FACE it gameday is always if an SEC is going to play. You are/We are never going to get Gameday for a non SEC team, because they are soo cool enough that that if they play an ACC or other conference team... the excuse was... we are taking it easy and let them win. My opinion, they are chicken.

Not sure where you're sitting or what games you've attended so I could see how this would vary, but when it's close, I keep getting hearing alerts from my watch it gets so loud, not just 3rd down either. And on offense in those situations the bench is often turning around shushing the crowd so they can huddle.

The recruits hang out around the student section--which admittedly has been disappointing the noon games--but when they walk the sideline or around the concessions and such there's a lot of happy fans decked out in all kinds of gear. They don't seem unimpressed IMHO, nor do their parents.
