lol not even really close. Bizarre. Oh well extra motivation.
I don’t think the voters care about margin at this point. Beating uconn by 7 or 70 doesn’t really matter. We beat unlv and they are ranked. Is what it isWe needed like a 42-7 win over UConn to have a chance. 31-24 doesn’t look impressive to the voters.
and VT had the 3rd qb in that game sat nightBeing 8-3 and beating VaTech
Meanwhile we are 8-3 and ...
The bad thing is they are 1 score games but we controlled all of them.We don't have style points. All these 1 score victories haven't helped us. We needed some touchdowns or stopping the other team from scoring late at the end of these games. Both Cal and UConn should have been minimum 2 TD wins but we are not good at padding and piling up more points or stopping our opponents from getting a late TD.
They do, because they aren't actually watching any of our games or doing any substantial statistical analysis. They glance at our schedule, see that we've played a bunch of close games, and go "ah, clearly this team is lucky."I don’t think the voters care about margin at this point. It definitely matters. The voters maybe see highlights at most. A 7 point win over UConn is not going to impress them.I don’t think the voters care about margin at this point. Beating uconn by 7 or 70 doesn’t really matter. We beat unlv and they are ranked. Is what it is
If you’ve been to any of our games this season no one would question the decision not to come here. Our fan base is pathetic. Students don’t show, season ticket holders don’t show and the dome feels quiet and dead. Little energy before and during the game and doesn’t translate well on national television. We're not getting respect in the polls because expectations were low coming in to the season. We're punished for not having preseason hype. Whereas Kansas State continues to benefit from their preseason position, for one example.
Has nothing to do with being ranked. We outnumbered UNLV fans @ UNLV.If you’ve been to any of our games this season no one would question the decision not to come here. Our fan base is pathetic. These are completely different issues, if you're even right about these things, which I don't believe you are.If you’ve been to any of our games this season no one would question the decision not to come here. Season ticket holder since the dome has opened. Not that it makes me an expert but it does give me some credibility and perspective. These are completely different issues, if you're even right about these things, which I don't believe you are.
Don’t lose to craptastic BC and we are ranked and a more attractive Game Day option. If you’ve been to any of our games this season no one would question the decision not to come here. But Norman is not wrong. Our fan base has been sad and apathetic for decades. This has been discussed on here and the reasons why poured over ad nauseum. We are likely looking at thousands of empty blue pews for an 8-3 team playing a 10 win Miami team in the top ten. Norm is right. It's pathetic. These are completely different issues, if you're even right about these things, which I don't believe you are.
That doesn't really have anything to do with the polls though.Season ticket holder since the dome has opened. Not that it makes me an expert but it does give me some credibility and perspective.

You can't suck for 25 years and expect consistent fan attendance. We've lost a generation of potential fans. I'm 35 and often one of the youngest people at a Cuse tailgate. But Norman is not wrong. They don’t see margin. If so we would be ahead of unlvIt definitely matters. The voters maybe see highlights at most. A 7 point win over UConn is not going to impress them.
To be honest. ESPN gameday is about the best game of the weekend... we were always that longshot, and Axe even said it in a play team thing indirectly... It depends on the teams we play... FACE it gameday is always if an SEC is going to play. You are/We are never going to get Gameday for a non SEC team, because they are soo cool enough that that if they play an ACC or other conference team... the excuse was... we are taking it easy and let them win. My opinion, they are chicken.I love it. Fran’s motivation. No one believes in us. They won’t rank us. ESPN Gameday won’t come here. You are a double digit home underdog. Your home fans won’t even sell out the Dome to watch you play. Time to prove everyone wrong with a top 10 team in your house this week.

You go to the wrong tailgate. You can't suck for 25 years and expect consistent fan attendance. We've lost a generation of potential fans. I'm 35 and often one of the youngest people at a Cuse tailgate.
