This is a real interesting game.
People only look at the scoreboard and not many people know that Arky was beating Monroe 28-7 in the 3rd Q when their QB got hurt and left the game. We know the outcome.
Then Alabama pounded them 52-0.
With the QB back does he really make that much of a difference? From an offensive and leadership standpoint he just might. The Arky defense melted down again ULM over the last quarter of that game, but ULM is for real having taken Auburn to OT last week.
Alabama would beat buttgers 52-0 as well so that outcome last week is meaningless.
Rutgers fans think their offense is unbelievable but from my POV, I'm concerned about the O going into Arky. Their offense is terrible. Can Nova complete as many 3rd and longs as he did against USF, and do it in what will be as hostile an environment as any buttgers player has ever seen?. I doubt Arkansas will repeat what USF did either which is not bring pressure.
The question becomes how many points does Rutgers need to score to win? I think north of 24, maybe north of 30.
IMHO, they can't win a straight up game. They're going to need their defense and/or special teams to put points on the board - or help the offense start with the ball inside the 40. USF gift wrapped them 4 turnovers. They'll need to same type of luck against Arkansas.
