Army Game...

Goodness this second quarter was bad. Team showing signs of not getting a lot of practice time. Sloppy on offense and Porter not making saves. Army being much more than Nichtern on offense. Concerning to see Phaup struggle at the end of the quarter. Is Varello hurt? Offense needs to settle down.

The problem with playing Army is that these kids are in constant physical training as cadets. From the perspective of being an American, I am greatly pleased with this, but as an Orange fan, Army is the one team that can actually out "physical" SU, or any other team.

Our team got the early lead, let it go to their head, started taking the physical beating and rested. Desko needs to get the team re-focused and the kids need accept the fact that Army is not going to wear down and SU will play 60 minutes if they want to win the game.

Let's go Orange!

Besides the D the other main issue is that the attack unit is again non existent. Cook and Rehfuss can't play together there black holes offensively right now. Hiltz needs to be attack to start the 2nd half

They seem off in general, seems like a lot of passes are just a second too slow and guys are missing easy stuff. Think Scanlan got too giddy with the short stick and had some bad plays. Not alone. Feels like Trimboli hasn’t had the ball much at all. Army not sliding so iso is the obvious move here, but still have to play smart.

Army totally dominating the unsettled situations. It's obviously very early but already making me nervous thinking about facing the other ACC teams that have better athlete's.

Can't run the O through Scanlan or Rehfus. Too much standing around and trying to beat their man instead of looking for the slide and pass. Also stop running the third line. This is a dogfight. Put in your guns and stick with them.

Agreed, Army coming back was zero surprise, they rarely get blown out.

I’d also add the cadets are mentally tougher than most opponents due to their training.

That makes it unsurprising to me they came back to take the lead.

The problem is Scanlan isn't a dodger and Rehfuss struggles mightily against physical defenses. Hate to keep beating a dead horse but Hiltz should be at attack. The other issue is that when SU had a chance to really blow it open they got sloppy and started turning it over especially the 2nd midline. Schluper has also made some ridiculous saves
