They do that every week. The weird part is they take them to the Sheraton to get their stuff and then go straight to the airport usually. Saw it last game too. I usually chit chat with them in the Sheraton when staying there. Had breakfast with the Colgate crew.I saw something that I thought was odd at the end of the game but maybe this is just regular procedure; the refs were in a van driving off and had a police escort both in front and behind them. They literally raced out of there.
I had all sorts of jokes about that to my wife but it was odd to see.
Hahadid you forget to log out of your real account and back into your socko?
Looks like the boot is off for Ellis.
Was anyone else wondering about re-inserting the starters near the end of the 4th Qtr?
If I recall correctly, Army had just scored a long TD on broken coverage to make the score 29-16 with ~2:00 to go. After we retained the onside kick, the TV appeared to show a sideline shot of CRDW and the 2nd team attempting to take the field but being called back. Wilson seemed animated about it, but it was just a brief shot.
I'm trying to understand the rationale for putting the starters back in... It was a 2-score game at that point, and other other than the one lucky play, the Army offense had shown no quick-strike capability. So a 13 pt lead seemed fairly secure. At some point our back-up QB may be called on to lead the offense under more difficult circumstances, and you have to develop some trust in your subs. And can you imagine if Shrader, Allen, or another starter had been injured playing meaningless minutes at the end of a game?
I thought it was the correct decision. We can't afford to lose a game we had in the bag. CDRW has not been inspiring and I think we just learned where his development stands. Was anyone else wondering about re-inserting the starters near the end of the 4th Qtr?

They had to get to Turning Stone and collect their winnings since Dino didn't kick at FG at the end.I saw something that I thought was odd at the end of the game but maybe this is just regular procedure; the refs were in a van driving off and had a police escort both in front and behind them. I shared a charcuterie board with the guys who hold the sticks at the East/West Shrine game. They do that every week. My theory was Dino was disgusted at the long TD pass and it was a message to the reserves they need to keep the intensity up. But I could be wrong. Was anyone else wondering about re-inserting the starters near the end of the 4th Qtr?

I agree if you screw up like that you don't play. The game should have ended 29-10, the 2nd team was bad in both cases. My theory was Dino was disgusted at the long TD pass and it was a message to the reserves they need to keep the intensity up. But I could be wrong.
Should’ve grabbed two beers and challenged them to a chug contest, after you won you should’ve announced your handle here and walked away.Who was the poster sitting in 310 row k with his kids who was getting pissed with our run game?
I saw you scrolling through the game thread…
To be fair, the play calling was fairly conservative with him in there.I thought it was the correct decision. We can't afford to lose a game we had in the bag. CDRW has not been inspiring and I think we just learned where his development stands.
If we lost that game the pitchforks would be out big time.
Yes. I have had breakfast with them many times in the club. Also when I was just there I was leaving both games when the van was taking them to the game. I was tempted to ask for a ride, but held back. Plus I was going to the Syracruz tailgate at those times, not to the dome. They do that every week. What you mean? Still have 11 more games.I can’t believe the season is already 1/3 done.
Yes, I remember that. Worst call was the socks against Tennessee.
SameI shared a charcuterie board with the guys who hold the sticks at the East/West Shrine game.
Agreed!Wow slamming Wilson and the 2nd string?…the 2nd string offense got 3 snaps. All called runs. Wilson carry for 4. Price carry for 5. 3rd and 1, Price run stuffed, punt. Not much I can conclude there other than conservative play calling and the OLine being bad at short yardage run blocking as per usual.
The blown coverage was on Greenwood. A veteran who has earned his way to the 2nd string by blowing coverages most of his career. Kid is caught looking into the backfield when he should only by thinking pass in that spot. Terrible.
What do you mean dumb, there was no other place to spin the ballNice very few if any penalties other than dumb taunting.
