UTSA put up 29 with a backup QB, unless we pull a Purdue and fumble all over the place, why the hell can’t we do better than 33? I am thinking 42-17 kind of game

While I generally agree, you have to remember that Army uses a lot of time with their ground game. There were around 10 possessions per team in the Purdue game, IIRC. I would guess that, unless we throw very well this week, there might only be around 6 or 7 possessions per team. We run an awful lot, too, so that's going to keep the score down, because I can see there being a lot of 8 and 10 minute drives.

That's about what I would expect, too. But I don't think our WRs had more than 1 or 2 catches in the entire 2nd half against Purdue. That can't happen again against Army, or it will be a lot closer than it should be.

Agree. And Purdue was giving up a lot of passing yards before that this season. I think it will be a lot better this week.

God forbid, but turnovers on our part could change the calculus.

More Army tidbits. So far, they have scored 12 out of 14 times they've been in the red zone, including 8 TDs. That's pretty impressive.

They have gone for it on 4th down TEN TIMES already, and have made it every single time.

For all the talk about Army "discipline", they are averaging 7 penalties a game, so they are not infallible in their execution.

You're reading that stat wrong. Army has 7 penalties total after 3 games.

Would be quite remarkable to be averaging 7/game given that there were 0 against UTSA.
