I prefer the good hard thump on the back of the head method.I figuratively want to kick some people in the shins.

I respect him for how he went about many things. Even if I didn't like him as a person I still would have said the same thing. It may not be likely that he gets a p 5 HC gig but to say never! It's excessive and I get its your opinion but I don't get that overall statement.

I appreciate that you like him, but show me an example of where a P5 coach failed so badly, 37% win percentage badly, received another shot at a major P5 gig? I can't think of one.
The offense has regressed every year he's been here. The defense cratered this year.
The best player was the punter.
Uh-uh! Haven't we had enough concussions around this program? Stick with a kick to the shins (or perhaps to a more vulnerable, soft tissue part of the body if warranted. (Yes... you know where I was thinking.)

i'm skeptical. if that includes punt returns and defensive scores, it's definitely junk.False. Offense improved by 35% in points/drive this year over last year which was the 9th biggest increase in FBS this year. But lets continue to not deal with the defensive deficiencies and the limited snaps when we push the total offense narrative.
Maybe the offense wasn't the air raid everyone seemingly wants (who knows if it works here with below avg. talent) but it didn't regress. That's simply wrong.

We scored 47 vs. URI vs. 29 against Nova last year.
We scored 20 points in 4 OTs this year.
We had 3 Def TDs and 2 Special teams TDs.
We scored 327 total point this year. We scored 205 total points last year.
Those extra 73 points from non-offense/OT TDs inflate the points increase. We scored 59 more regulation offensive points
Instead of our offense being alltime embarrassment it just was sub-par.
If this year's staff wins one more game they are still here but they didn't.
When you only score 205 points the previous year total an increase of 35.9% is not shocking at all. The fact it was only the 9th highest increase is not something screams good jobs.
I mean c'mon. It would be like saying we had the #1 total D in the country after the URI game. I bet our pass D ranking is over inflated because of the URI and BC games. We were a terrible pass D this year but those 2 games probably put us in the 80's nationally.

(So the math has to be adjusted slightly to 49 points from non-offense/OT TDs inflate the points increase. We scored 49 more regulation offensive points )

Hale said we had 14 more TDs and 2 less FGs.
So an extra 78 points. That is including the 3 OT TDs. I give the offensive a credit for improving but last year was so bad improvement was obvious. I give Lester credit for being the bright spot this year but our offense was still sub-par. It was vastly improved from last year though.
Who said anything about a top 30 offense. I only said improvement was obvious to happen and I gave credit to Lester for being okay. What were you expecting a top 30 offense?

If SS's D wasn't poor and just a little worse than average he would have won another game and still been here.
This 35.9% garbage is what I am talking about. Of course we are going to be a lot better. We had too our offense in 2014 was bottom 5 in the nation.
