As someone said earlier, the last week has been the most fun being a Syracuse football team since 5 minutes before the USF game. Everyone smells hope and when the perceived leader is someone that seems similar, resume wise, to our disposed leader, then we get irrational (on a message board where irrationality pays the bills)

It's not about the rumors per se. It's some posters saying 99 times in 99 threads that our AD is an idiot, a fool, a clown or any other word they can come with and taking as fact what the rumors said. He's made one offer, to Frost. His top target. Now after knowing the facts, he was smart not to cave in. Everything else has been interviewing or talking to potential candidates. Exactly what any good AD would do.

If Coyle hired Ash it would have been bad. Just the thought of it scared me and wanted Scott Shafer back.

The fact he didn't is a win for Coyle. I didn't want Frost I wanted a HC with HC experience it appears we have a decent chance of that. Now the outlook looks a lot brighter. No career defensive coordinator = Coyle wins.
