Or another way of saying it “JB has pinned X number of losses” on opponents.
The ncaa idiocy in a nutshell: Discount the wins, and say nothing about the losses. Stupid.

What could the NCAA do if SU ignored them and listed all JB's wins in every way possible? In programs, press releases, etc. Even during games announcers could say the correct number and that the NCAA only recognizes so many. Can they prevent stating the truth?

If we did that, they'd deduct another 100 wins.

Writers like him want the story to die because his entire career and means to provide for his family relies on building up the coaches in the sport as demi-gods and then playing up the innocent, fun student-athlete charade.

The whole college basketball industry is just playing four corners stall ball right now hoping the public forgets about it by the time next season rolls around.
