at UNLV Kick: 9 PM Friday Oct 4

I just realized this may be the only time I see us play in a domed stadium other than at home. Other than Minnesota in the 90s what other domes have we played in?

Bowl games - Texas, AZ if the roofs were closed at those.

Tokyo Dome (Tokyo)
Super Dome (New Orleans)
Silver Dome (Pontiac)
NRG Stadium (formerly Reliant Stadium, Houston).
BankOne BallPark (Phoenix)

Those ones I know off the top of my head.

Isn’t SU playing Tennessee in the Georgia Dome in 2025?

Syracuse will face Tennessee in the 2025 Chick Fil-A Kickoff in Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be the first time the two teams have played in 24 years, will take place on August 30, 2025 and be broadcast on ESPN.

It's going to be an interesting Thursday night if that happens... Almost no one will be in town yet... Why did I decide to fly in on Wednesday. :)
Because you like casinos?

Nope, the Georgia Dome is no more. It was torn down in 2017.

It'll be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons.
It'll be less than a year before they host several 2026 World Cup games, and the roof could be open.

It's an awesome stadium. I would highly encourage Orange fans to make the trip.
The College Football Hall of Fame is just a few blocks away.

Ahhhh I keep forgetting about this. That's gonna be a solid trip

Can’t wait. Already planning for it

Same here

Might even turn it into an end of summer RV trip and end it in Atlanta for the game
Was thinking of spending Wednesday /Thursday in Nashville and then head to Atlanta Friday.

I'm still figuring out if I can make this game (Tennessee). We play at GaTech later in the season and it will be easier for me to support a tailgate there.

lol its more the fact that it’s an NFL Stadium with Chick-Fil-A in it that is mostly only used on Sundays lmao
Great point - completely eluded me. And I’m not too good for Chik Fil A, I just don’t understand the phenomenon - by me the car lines are so long they had to build a new one with two lanes for ordering. Lines are still long any time of the day.

I'm up at my camp near Watertown. The Chik-fil-A isn't doing that much business. I might just go in some time to eat in a more calm dining room vs the usual airport boarding gate like atmosphere seen at Chick-fil-A's elsewhere.

The Popeye's was empty too up here.

It's a bit tricky to do a tailgate outside of the stadium.
Maybe we do something on Friday night and just meet up for some drinks & chatter before the game.

I highly encourage people to enter the stadium well before kick off. There's lots to see.
If you go in just before kickoff, go to your seat to watch the game and then leave, then you will have missed part of the experience.

Most of the locations near me (North of Atlanta) have been torn down and rebuilt to accommodate the car lines.

Yeah that stadium is really cool. I got to walk around on the field and the field level luxury lounges at an event last year.

I would hit Popeyes (and hard) well before I went to Chic Fil A. Had a roommate when I lived in NYC who used to wait outside our local Popeyes at 9am to get chicken. Their fryers weren’t even up to temp when they opened and we’d have to wait another half hour just to get the order. Truly it was an addiction but I understood completely

Kinda agree...if the date works I'll concentrate on a GaTech tailgate.

I might just look to fly down from SYR for the Tennessee game.
