Do most major hotels on the strip have airport shuttles from the airport?
Most dont. I believe Caesars might still have a shuttle service, but they will take you to all the Caesars hotels and could take you two hours. Best bet is to Uber. Most hotels are less than $30 as long as you are south of the Wynn.

If you take a cab, don’t let them take you through the tunnel. It’s a longer way and costs $20 extra, but they will tell you it’s “the quick way.”

I was at the Luxor but my casino host was able to match my package at Park MGM for less than $100. I get in Wednesday night around 9 Vegas time. Staying until Tuesday. Going to see Absinthe late Thursday. Love that show. Hopefully Adam and I don’t have to share a jail cell.

I'll be the lady in the hotel wearing SU shirts!! Thursday evening until Monday morning.

Some last minute suggestions:

If you have a flight arriving in the morning or early afternoon, there's a good chance your room wont be ready. I always make sure to have a bathing suit and sunscreen easily available to change into because I usually go right to the pool. If you're pool inclined, that's a solid way to kill a few hours and enjoy the Vegas weather while you wait for your room.

The minibar is not to be used for personal storage and they'll charge you for moving anything in the fridge or above it. The giant Fiji bottles are $25+, so be careful with those. My buddy grabbed a mini bottle of vodka that was $70 that he was surprised he bought.

Don't forget sunscreen. It's $40 at the hotels. I've learned that lesson. Weather will be in the low hundreds without a cloud in the sky as of now. So you definitely want sun screen.

If you're on an early morning flight out of JFK, they don't start serving until 6AM. If you're on JetBlue, I like the bar right after security to the right at T5.

Getting into Vegas at 11 a.m. Thursday and that was my plan exactly. Head directly to the pool if my room isn't ready.

Hey is there a designated spot for Uber/Lyfts or a place you'd recommend?

Sometimes it makes sense to take a regular cab. I've seen empty cab lines and dozens of people waiting for Uber.

There's signs for ride share. It's in the garage, but that's the only place they can pick you up. Don't sleep on a regular taxi though. I don't remember the last time I wasn't able to walk to essentially the front of the line and have no wait.

Yeah, I usually take an Uber to the airport, but a lot of times it's more convenient to take a cab from the airport.

Does Walmart in Vegas jack up their prices on sunscreen and deodorant and things?

Right by the baggage carousel. (not 100% sure but I don’t recall walking far). Usually, I’m not worried about the extra few dollars and take a cab because it’s easiest. But of course Uber is cheapest. Also, if you fly into terminal three, it will be a few dollars more.

One of the best places on the strip to get Snacks, drinks and booze is the ABC store in the miracle mile shops. it’s a short walk from Paris, horseshoe, Bellagio, Caesars and Cosmopolitan. prices are a little bit higher than a normal convenience store, but much less than the stores in the hotels which will be at LEAST twice as much. With the need to hydrate out there, you could easily spend $40 a day on water and Gatorade at a hotel. Also, if you go in the morning, there are two places about 100 ft away that have $6.99 type breakfast that are ok. (Cantina and Hollywood I think are the names) We usually stay at Bellagio and bring a shopping bag , as the plastic bags don’t hold up great with lots of water and Gatorade. Also on just about every other corner is a big CVS.

As far as sunscreen, bring lots. if you’ve never been, some of the hotels like Luxor, Excalibur, Paris, and Planet Hollywood have very few shady spots and they are almost immediately taken up the first few minutes the pools open. Once people are at the hotel for a day they figure out where the shade is and they lineup half an hour before the pools open and rush to them. This late in the year it’s not as bad as early summer though because the sun is lower and some of the buildings block the sun for more of the day. If any ladies are going, I highly recommend one of those giant hats.

How concealed does my liquor and beer have to be when I walk into the Luxor to bring to my room?
Not at all, it’s not like Key West where you could walk in and out of bars with drinks, but you will see people walking around with the 3 foot tall drinks everywhere. You could pretty much walk up and down the street with open containers without any issue at all . Most pools do not allow you to bring your own liquor. They won’t let you bring beers to the pool, but you could usually bring in a Turvis Tumblr full of whatever you’re drinking.
