Auburn Alabama

Game was stolen from Bama. Should be going to OT right now.

It’s not like bama doesn’t get calls week in and week out. And I’m surprised you don’t realize that if they didn’t get that FG at the end of the half, the game would have been played differently, especially the last few series. You don’t know bama was robbed.

The refs gave Auburn a free chance at a FG at the end of the 1st half. If that happened against Syracuse there would be 50 threads on it.
They just said on the post game show that the call at the end of the half was correct. I didn't see it and have no idea what it was but that is what was just said.

That is the thing we all forget when a bad call is made that really costs a team The whole nature of the game can change. The exception of course is the NO Saints type of call.
We all are tempted to think one play or call has more effect than it really does.

saban just assumed the punt was coming and never considered auburn might line up tight. the players scrambling on and off the field falls on him and his coaches. they were caught with their pants down.

Yeah, maybe they just do the UCF National champions thing that people outside Utah will laugh at.
U of U is a classy program. Whittingham wouldn't go for it either.

This year is proof that the talking point of "there's no parity in college football" is lame. There are a half dozen teams that could win it this year and Alabama is none of them.

Given their recruiting, they massively underachieved.

to give BAMA a little credit i thought tua's back up played pretty well. can't pin the loss on him.

He threw 2 pick 6’s.
The first one he completely lost the safety and made a poor read.
The second pick 6 he was pressured and the ball behind the RB and it was a fluke play but I wasn’t impressed with Jones.
The weapons he had were insane and they gave him easy windows.

The Bama D wasn’t good either but Tua leads them to more points IMO.

When the Saban era is over the fans there will look back and there are probably another 2-3 titles left on the table due to injuries. Including the two they lost to Clemson.

This year’s team was supposed to be the best ever under Saban. Then they lose their starting two ILB’s in preseason including the preseason favorite for the Butkus award. Lost a starting DL that was a former 5 star and preseason All-SEC in week 1 or 2 for the year. Lost their second starting DL a few weeks ago for the season. Lost their starting TE for the year midway through the season. Obviously lost Tua. Not to even mention all the guys banged up playing through injuries that’s to be expected.

Was just a snake bitten year where everything that could’ve gone wrong did for them and today’s game was the perfect summation to it all.

You can take every guy you mentioned off that roster and they still outrecruited everyone else.

You just described being a New England Patriots fan.

Classy fans too. Idiots. Tonight may not end well for them.

They got wiped out by the Tigers last year.

The gap in talent isn’t what it used to be with Clemson and UGA recruiting like they are. And any team in the country is going to struggle if you lose the amount of starters they did and have to rely on true freshman to replace them.

LSU attacked the true freshman ILB’s all day with their back and Bama could do nothing about it. A healthy Moses probably eliminates that part of the game plan completely.

And of course it’s amplified when you lose a guy that would’ve been a Butkus finalist/winner and a guy that had just as good a chance as anyone to win the Heisman on the other side of the ball.
