Skurey cried for St. Nick tonight. Poor Skurey upset that Bama has two losses this year.
They got wiped out by the Tigers last year.
Part of the game is either being deep, or staying healthy.I know I’m going to be hit with resistance on this board because of the popular Bama hate and taking away from the ACC banner wager.
Clemson was obviously a great team last year and this year. Last year’s game Bama was down 3 of their 4 OLB from their 2 deep and was without their best corner. They had to rely on their 3rd string guys to rush off the edge and if you look at the advanced stats Lawrence got something like 60-70% of his yards attacking the back up corner, Smith, and abusing busted coverages. That impacted them on offense quite a bit as well.
When the Saban era is over the fans there will look back and there are probably another 2-3 titles left on the table due to injuries. Including the two they lost to Clemson.
This year’s team was supposed to be the best ever under Saban. Then they lose their starting two ILB’s in preseason including the preseason favorite for the Butkus award. Lost a starting DL that was a former 5 star and preseason All-SEC in week 1 or 2 for the year. Lost their second starting DL a few weeks ago for the season. Lost their starting TE for the year midway through the season. Obviously lost Tua. Not to even mention all the guys banged up playing through injuries that’s to be expected.
Was just a snake bitten year where everything that could’ve gone wrong did for them and today’s game was the perfect summation to it all.
I'm sure no one was out for the Tigers. What was bama's excuse the first time they lost to the tigers?I know I’m going to be hit with resistance on this board because of the popular Bama hate and taking away from the ACC banner wager.

It really seems like every team in the league has one lossThe problem I have with Bama is the built in advantages they have in their schedule. Their two toughest games were LSU and Auburn. They had a bye before LSU and played Western Carolina before Auburn (basically a bye). Their one P5 OOC game was Duke.
Losing to Alabama or losing to Boston College, who cares? A loss is a loss.who else is glad our secondary didn't face alabamas receiving corp ? those dudes fly.

What in the world...I don't think it’s presented as an excuse just that they’ve had awful luck with injuries and it’s cost them championships. Not really much different than when we grimace over a drink and talk about how AO went down or we lost Fab.
I know you’re asking sarcastically and not engaging to have an actual conversation but I’ll answer anyways. The injuries from the first time Clemson beat them that Bama fans shake their head at that stick out we’re Scarborough getting hurt in the second half and losing Jackson for the year. Bo was a huge part of Bama’s game plan and Clemson was really struggling to stop him as the game wore on. He went down and Sark puked all over himself with the play calls after that kept giving Clemson the ball back. Watson is a beast and threw all over the Bama secondary to come back in the 4th that had guys switched around after Eddie Jackson, midseason AA and now one of the best safeties in the NFL, broke his leg late in the year. He had a big interception off Watson the year before.
What in the world...
Football is a game where you have guys that get injured and miss a lot of games. Hoop, not so much. bama lost twice to Clemson. Once, very badly. You are what your record says you are.Obviously you have a different view as a Clemson fan. Just like Bama and Texas fans have different views on Colt McCoy getting hurt. And SU and Duke fans probably have different views on AO’s injury significance or SU and Kentucky on Fab being out for the tournament.
Wasn’t half of Clemson’s line suspended for failing a drug test?Obviously you have a different view as a Clemson fan. Just like Bama and Texas fans have different views on Colt McCoy getting hurt.
