I don't understand why we haven't tried him up top. His defense on the wing is pretty bad. We won't be losing much.

i agree hughes is a perfect fit at the 2. but keep in mind jimmy will finagle any rotation he can to get his best players on the floor at the same time. that's why we have historically had players put in positions outside of their natural spots. DC or Lydon at center instead of PF. Stevie T at the point ? and most recently Tyus Battle .
make more sense to position buddy at the 3 since he can't dribble a lick. let him sit in the corner and jack treys.

Washington is much better defensively than joe and buddy but doesn’t have the same potential on the other end.

Unfortunately he can’t tag out and let someone else play offense. A guy who can’t shoot, handle, or pass at guard is a bad idea.
