BC QB Thomas Castellanos has stepped away from the team for 'a couple days' after being benched.

I honestly thought that if we somewhat controlled him, we would win comfortably on Saturday. He literally did nothing and we know the rest. Demoralizing.

I hate to say this, but what an idiotic move.

This caliber of choice only reaffirms that the switch was warranted, that his teammates cannot count on him in the face of adversity, and that he is not strong enough to face a very basic personnel challenge.

Plus, it’s not like the backup was anything special.

I honestly didn't think he was benched. I thought he was hurt. He looked very limited.

Yeah. Control Castellanos, win the game. It really seemed so simple.

Weird for BoB to announce this. Seems like the kind of thing you just keep in house and give a bunch of 'no comments' on.

Seemed like he wanted to call him out. Old school mentality?

The only reason to do it is if you want the "couple of days" to be permanent - and this is a way to get him to quit.

After 3 years he has only played 1 total season if he’s done for this year. He played only 5 games at UCF his first year, then after transferring last year he had a full year at BC and so far 8 games this season if he’s done there.

Yep, if you told me before the game he'd rush 5 times for negative 10 yards, and be 2-7 passing with an INT, I would have been thrilled and assumed a 31-7 type victory.

Never would have guessed that two RBs, running very basic plays, would each be north of 130 yards and north of 7 yards per carry.

And then he enters the portal. Man that loss stings.

This is good news for BC. He’s the most hyped QB in the ACC. He can’t throw to save himself. Not a good quarterback and O’Brien knows it.
