I'm really sorry the kid sustain such an injury. We all want to win but the health of the young people who play this game is more important. I hope to be 10-2 anyway and I hope Brown is well on his way to recovery when we do it.

An update from Addazio’s press conference this morning - Brown’s injury was much less than initially feared, thank God. According to Addazio, he is listed as “day to day”. I would expect him to play in the BC-SU game; maybe even against FSU this weekend. He was reported to be walking around the indoor yesterday.

If remember correctly Freeney had a lacerated liver. Freshman year missed the rest of the season.

“Day to day” meaning evaluating whether he will be ready for FSU this weekend. It is precisely the term he uses for AJ Dillon in assessing how he recovers each week (after tweaking his injured ankle in every game after the initial injury).

It isn't in college but define "driving into the ground" because I wouldn't summarize that hit as driving into the ground. He drove through the tackle, which resulted in the QB hitting the ground, which is precisely what the tackler is supposed to do.

Agree. Not an NFL guy but I know they have made a mess of their rules recently. I don't think people should try to apply those changes to college football. The Sunday passing league is mutating into a farce of what football is.

There was nothing remotely wrong with the hit Wilkins made. It is unfortunate Brown was uninjured on the play. I wish him a quick recovery.

I agree that the rule changes have been bad for the NFL game, but the rules were installed and they must be applied. As far as the college game is concerned I've seen flags thrown on Saturdays for much less when it comes to protecting the QB. I am surprised a flag was not thrown in that situation.

I have a feeling we should hope for book this week. Wimbush is playing well and sometimes when you are the man and then sit for a # of weeks and come back, you come back and kill it , play very well.
