There is so much that goes in to being a college football coach. Building relationships with high school coaches which means going to visit those schools even in years when they don't have anyone you would be interested in. I have a hard time seeing BB doing that. Especially at his age.

Bingo. There is a lot of stuff coaches have to deal with to be good HS recruiters. There are thousands of little fiefdoms. Add NIL at the HS level too and it's a GRIND. He can hire the best assistants but I don't see him being able to do this at his age. Nobody can. He can be the greatest X's and O's coach but I don't see how he can just rely on the portal for talent.

Speaking of, why isn’t Parcells in the convo? He was the HC who won the two I have seen credited to BB. He did it with Phil Simms and Jeff Hostetler. The ‘90 win over the Bills was the offense. The run game allowed them to hold the ball I think 10 minutes of the third quarter and over 40 minutes of the game! The 80’s and 90’s Giants had no WR to speak of and still won 2 SB.

I think they both get credit for those. BB does get a lot of credit for the unique defense that stifled the Buffalo offense that had been crushing teams. 20 points shouldn't have been enough to beat them. I don't know that anyone else would've thought to play 2 down lineman with a slew of DBs like that.
