Did you watch his Pats at the end? One, he didn't hire the right people. Second, this would not get him Shula's record so there is no way he is really interested.

Belicheck had a great run but his career as any form of head coach is over and if somehow he lands a gig at UNC, it will not last 1 year. If he wants to be a part of football he should move to the front office or get paid crazy money as a team consultant.
If he can handle dating them, then he likely can handle coaching them

It’ll make beating them even sweeter next year….also highly doubt this happens though apparently he’s enjoyed being around the college game since his son is the DC at Washington. Seems far fetched but stranger things have happened.

I'm pretty sure his father must have coached vs. SYR in all the years he was a Navy assistant. We played Navy a lot in the years his father was there.
How wouldnt he be. Nfl ZAR who knows more about how to play in NFL and what size, speed and technique u need who had the best players in the world. Will probably bring every pro bowler he had as coaches. Cant Miss.

His talent eval the last 3 years was AWFUL and left the Pats threadbare.
He will not be flying around the country to recruit.
College kids have nowhere near the attention to detail he commands.
It would be a hilarious disaster.

Meh, didn't they try bringing back an old coaching legend? That didn't go so well. Maybe they ought to try something new.
It's also possible they just wanted to talk to him to try to get some ideas. Could also be looking into a non-staff, consultant role.

I wouldn’t put anything off the table w him. I think the Shula record isn’t an absolute for him. He’s already the greatest coach ever he doesn’t need that.
I always thought naval academy was his final destination like his dad. His dad did coach at unc so maybe this is second best
True but i know i would give him a shot depending on who his assistants are.

he's ALWAYS been an odd duck. He had the secretary with the Giants who he paid off for years who was his side chick. The guy IMO has no concept of what it is to be a functioning adult away from coaching and being inside the walls of a football operation.
The personal stuff doesn't surprise me in the least. He's just a weird dude.
True, he may leave his current GF for someone on campus...
