Supposedly, according to the news down here, he wowed UNC at the interview but it's unlikely to happen as he has no college coaching experience.

Al Groh wowed the then-AD and -president of UVa so much when they spoke with him just to get his opinion on who they should hire to replace George Welsh that they hired him. He did well for a couple of years and then proceeded to alienate just about everyone connected to UVa. It's not hard to see that Groh and Belichick have similar personalities. He'll definitely be at their lacrosse games.

We play UNC every year. It is tied for the second most-played rivalry in the FBS (129 games). Without deaths (one of our players in 1909 and WW I 1917-18), the series would be continuous from 1900. We play them in Chapel Hole next season. It would have been interesting to see him in C'ville.

If this was a year or two ago and UNC was SEC level talent in the ACC and you went Brown for BB it would be a great move. Give him one of Maye or Howells teams and he could year 1 go 11-1 or something.

But they've been hemorrhaging talent there's no future NFL QB like they had for a spell and I don't really see what they have over their neighbors Duke or NC St to offer recruits. No longer on the easier side of the conference.

What happens when an NFL team fires it's coach and offers him? He might coach the same number of games as he did for the Jets and this is just a ploy for Stephen.

Hopefully this is pegged for the Friday night ACC home game. Smoking BB in the Dome with huge ratings would be great but this will probably be buried a busier weekend.

you should check out his interview on Pat McAfee. He's not talking about coaching a college team, he's talking about turning UNC into an NFL feeder program. Everything within the program, coaches, facilities, practice, medical, would all mimic professional programs. I think kids would flock to this for sure.
