I can’t comment on specific players as I was a university employee and federal laws prohibit me from doing so.Billy Edelin………

I guess your thought is Benny being a captain will somehow make him more responsible? The idea of Judah being a captain is only slightly better. I want Benny to show up when he is supposed to and play hard.Looking forward to today but some positive criticisms.
- We lost Jessie, our only returning senior. Maybe it was more than the money?
- imo. I imagine this one-game suspension is fair. However, maybe he shouldn't have had to sit two games for the other?
-Maybe he wouldn't have missed a game if JB was still here. Off this topic, Red doesn't have to be completely different than JB.
-Benny should be co-team captain with Judah. Instead, he was pulled out of the starting lineup after one exhibition. He is being called a headcase by 60% of us. I don't see all the hate, he can flat-out play. He probably should be averaging 26mpg despite that.
-What people see on TV is like the D-league basketball. Even midmajors are loaded with upperclassmen. This shouldn't feel like a daycare. Shooting ourselves in the foot is something only Syracuse knows. Name one midmajor who wouldn't do everything they can to get Benny on the court. You won't find one.
-On the positive; we can have our entire frontcourt run motion around the perimeter and the baseline It's possible we never run that if Benny was averaging, 13 and 8 in Maui.
Like I say I love Red. He's not a headcase. Positive criticism.
Don’t have a title without him.Billy was well liked and actually produced.
Well, the pundits have us right where we are, only overrated in the 315.It’s super frustrating that for 3 straight years we have made this overrated and unreliable player a big piece of the roster.
Agree but he still came into the Tennesse game and hit a couple threes and kept us in it.At this point Benny is probably one of the biggest busts in Syracuse history for all the hype that he came in with.
Boot Taylor out of the program? Is this a serious statement? SMHAgree but he still came into the Tennesse game and hit a couple threes and kept us in it.
Taylor is who I’m mad at inexcusable to get zero points over 2 games as a starter.
Benny doesn't know how to play, if he did and could match his recruiting hype, he probably would have entered the draft by now. He also doesn't know how to be a professional, or else he wouldn't keep having these setbacks as a jr and one of the eldest members of the team. He's a failure to launch.Looking forward to today but some positive criticisms.

Can’t disagree with you.Billy was well liked and actually produced.
He’s a bouncy goof with crazy (not in a good way) hair.Benny doesn't know how to play, if he did and could match his recruiting hype, he probably would have entered the draft by now. He was so damn smooth, we’ve probably had “better” point guards than him since but he is exactly what you need from the position. Can’t disagree with you.
But we might have gone to FF in 2003-04 if he hadn’t fizzled midway through the season…
… and then the 2005 loss to Vermont… without him.
Uh, no.Agree but he still came into the Tennesse game and hit a couple threes and kept us in it.

How did we have such an amazing flow of players in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s?He was so damn smooth, we’ve probably had “better” point guards than him since but he is exactly what you need from the position.
How did we have such an amazing flow of players in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s?
And then after 2015… crickets.
Our next football coach?
It might sound crazy, but the out of bounds stuff is actually my biggest coaching issue right now. The other stuff can be hard to differentiate between player execution and what the plan was. The continual struggle to inbound under the hoop is 100% due to coaching not setting up something. It’s basic stuff. Very disappointing it wasn’t cleaned up before yesterday. That might very well be true. However, that doesn't explain no out of bounds plays. It doesn't explain letting guys shoot 3's that can't make them. That has to change.

How has our spacing been so far? Ideally our 2 guard shoots better than 7% from deep moving forward.Players used to just line up to go to Syracuse because they could officiate games at the YMCA in their spare time.
Once we lost that perk, we couldn't compete with the big boys with their fake academic programs, money, etc...
“Fizzled” is an interesting (and callous) way of putting it.Can’t disagree with you.

And whose fault is that? He's had like 18 total minutes this year in 6 games when he should be averaging like 26 per game. I don't see how we can have any expectations yet. The season hasn't even started for him.
I'm convinced that leaving the Big East plus just plain aging greatly impacted JB's level of enthusiasm and motivation. How did we have such an amazing flow of players in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s?

$$$$ Don't kid yourself We were doing the same thing the other coaches got nabbed within the FBI Sting only problem is we got smacked twice so we stopped... All downhill after thatHow did we have such an amazing flow of players in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s?
