Things are starting to get a little clearer.

The fourth team to clinch their seed tonight are the Notre Dame Fighting Irish who have locked up the #3 seed in the BET. Dreams of Syracuse knocking out the Irish will have to wait until the finals next Saturday night.

The winner of the Georgetown/Marquette game will lock up the 2 seed. Marquette will then automatically get the #4 seed and we will have our 4 double bye teams. If Marquette beats Georgetown to lock up the #2 seed then here are the 4 scenarios that are left in order to determine the seeds 4-6 based on what USF and Cincinnati do:

Scenario 1
Marquette wins
USF wins
Cincinnati wins

2. Marquette
3. Notre Dame
4. USF
5. Cincinnati
6. Georgetown

Scenario 2
Marquette wins
USF wins
Cincinnati loses

2. Marquette
3. Notre Dame
4. USF
5. Georgetown
6. Cincinnati

Scenario 3
Marquette wins
USF loses
Cincinnati wins

2. Marquette
3. Notre Dame
4. Cincinnati
5. Georgetown
6. USF

Scenario 4
Marquette wins
USF loses
Cincinnati loses

2. Marquette
3. Notre Dame
4. Georgetown
5. USF
6. Cincinnati

If Seton Hall beats DePaul they get the 8 seed
If WVU beats USF or if Uconn loses to Pittsburgh they get the 9 seed
If Uconn beats Pittsburgh AND WVU loses to USF they get the 8 seed

So basically if you want UConn on the other side of the bracket we need either Pitt to win or WVU to win.

Dumb question, but will these games be shown on ESPN3?

Yeah, yeah, I know we're not supposed to ask those questions. Whatever. Anyone know?

Pulling for WVU this 2nd half, UConn looks like a different team with Calhoun either that or Pittsburgh can't hit a shot to save their lives, but to avoid 2010 flashbacks I would prefer seeing WVU or the Hall at 12 on Thursday.

Thank you WVU. At least we won't have to play UConn for a 3rd time on Thursday afternoon.

If WVU beats USF or if Uconn loses to Pittsburgh they get the 9 seed

So WVU won - looks like they stay in our bracket.
