Big 10 says a title this year is meritless

The vote by the Big Ten Council of Presidents and Chancellors (COP/C) was overwhelmingly in support of postponing fall sports and will not be revisited.

Of course. It would be too embarrassing to reverse course. Now they're praying feverishly that the P3 is unable to start and finish the season. If the P3 is successful it might behoove Mr. Warren to dust off his resume.

The commissioner of the Big Ten’s son plays college football for Mississippi State.
His son decided not to opt out of playing.

While I wouldn’t play this season because my views are known these kids aren’t pros they shouldn’t risk their health for their schools in a pandemic.
However the son of Warren is playing why wouldn’t his son sit out if the Big Ten’s reasoning was based on health concerns.

The B10 cannot really turn back. Too late. The whole thing is intriguing though. Bilas is right. Give us the documentation. The B10 gave no real defense of the decision. Based on what medical evidence and scientific research? What scientific data and facts? Want to share that with us mere mortals who might benefit? Apparantly not.

The South is the problem. People in the South are not following protocols...and by all evidence we see..have no intention of doing so

This is still a southern centric conference with 3 northern outposts. I guess 4 if you count ND in 2020. But that bodes poorly for completion of season

Florida, Texas, Arizona are all way down the other side of their bell curves, with a third of the deaths that NY has had.

Georgia, Illinois, and Michigan all have had more of a wave pattern, but they are all on the downside as well.

The state that is actually having a growing problem is California.

To your point - Florida's seven day average of new cases peaked at 12K exactly one month ago. Today it's at 4K.
