As long as one of the schools is Syracuse, I could care less how many the Big East have. But it could be worse. The Pac 12 have no schools represented and yet all of the following western schools are in the top 25: UNLV, San Diego State, St Mary's and Gonzaga. What in John Wooden's name is wrong with Ben Howland and Sean Miller. Also, the Pac 12 is the 10th rated conference in the RPI standings. The Big East is 3rd, behind the Big 10 and the Big 12.This is quite a comment on the "state of the Big East" ... Once being touted as having 7-8 teams possibly going to the tourny as of the most recent polls only 3 BE teams in the AP 25 and 4 in the Coaches poll.
his recruiting class is nastyI expect next year to be the beginning of the Sean Miller dynasty. Could be similar to Donovan's run at UF.
Well everyone always said confrence strength was cyclical. Well that's what they said when the B10 was down for 3 years. The BE has at times had 3-4 teams in the top 10-12 on and off the last 3-4 years (guess).
Even though we are way down we still performed well preaeason as shown by 3rd ranking confrence rpi. Im also guessing our bottom feeders have jumped in rpi by 50+ this year hence the ranking 3rd. I miss the juggernaut of last few years, Im definitely watching much less bball this year. I'm gonna miss the BEast when were gone.
nemesesThe Big East is weak this year, as I have been preaching for ages now. Hence all the discussion about whether or not Syracuse was really #1, not even having faced their arch nemesis(s) yet. What's the plural of that word anyhow?
I am in no way happy to see the Big East go down, and am in no way excited to see the ACC gain anything. To see that on here boggles my mind a bit, but I am happy to learn why. I mean, it wasn't like the Big East wanted to get rid of Syracuse.
