If the BE insists that Cuse and Pitt remain in the BE for the 2014 season, SU should insist on ONLY playing the teams that were in the BE when they gave their notice. Games against Buttgers, UConn, L'Ville, Cincy and USF would be played for football. But no one else. Can't see any reason why SU would be obligated to play Boise, SDSU, Houston, Temple, et al. Their contract was not with those teams.

Once again West Virginia and TCU will be in the Big 12 next season. SU and Pitt could have gone the same route and forced an exit for 2012 but gave the BE time to restock their league. I agree we should be out...but tossing softballs in a hard ball legal issue will not suffice...tell me what is 'Cuse doing to get out now...and now is for July '2013? The longer the conversation lingers, the more likely a team or two will change their mind about entering the BE; the more the BE may need 'Cuse to stay...as a practical consideration I would be lobbing hand granades at this point...not being quite the gentleman that 'Cuse appears to be.

I just think that the fact that we aren't privy to what is going on behind doors doesn't necessarily mean that nothing is going on there. It's not a lawsuit, but it could be tough negotiations. Personally, I'm glad it's not right out there. Obviously it's imperative we get out ASAP.

How much time transpired from the point that WVU got their invitation from the Big 12 till they settled with the BE on their exit? Pitt has started the ball rolling. The ACC is not interested in Pitt coming over next year and SU the year after that. As All4SU stated I'm sure behind the scenes there are some not gentle negotiations going on. As was shown with the reply all in that Arkansas game nonsense when the time to go public arises they are very willing to do so.
