When will we land a big man in the middle that will take the pressure off guards and forwards? Not only a defensive stopper, but a productive offensive threat?

FIFY

And this has been addressed, dissected, prognosticated, and fretted over in numerous posts (check any thread on any current or prior big-man recruit). It is what it is, and if we are fortunate, we have one now in Edwards (eventually). If not, nobody here has an answer and I suspect most are tired of rehashing the same old issues and arguments as to why, whose fault it is, etc.

I am sorry you wasted your time reading my post, but with the new transfer rules and many current players entering the portal for transfer, I have read very little about centers. I am 72 years of age and I have been following Syracuse Basketball since returning from Vietnam, 1971. I would like to see another NCAA championship before I leave this earth. Maybe I am old school, but a strong inside game will open the game for the good shooters we have on the perimeter. This will be my last post!

We definitely need at least one more center and a 4/5. I have no clue who we are targeting. For my own sanity, I choose to believe JB has a plan.

Hold on a second...maybe I came across a little harsher than intended (okay, not so much a "maybe" after re-reading my reply). I am sorry. And you are not wrong at all, but the recent futility of such pursuits is a well-trod point of discourse as I stated. There are no good answers for why or when this will change. I do encourage you to look at some of the other threads, but it can be a bit of a rabbit hole.

Please don't let one poorly worded reply keep you from the forum. And be careful with what other posters say as well. It can be a good source of dialogue and debate, but it can be bad for your blood pressure with some of the tangents taken and vitriol spewed.

Again, I apologize for the harshness. I was intending a little bit of "snarkiness," but didn't mean to come across as a jerk (or substitute other profanity if you wish).

I agree, please don’t stop posting. But, try to get a catch phrase. It helps people identify with you and what you are about. I’m working on “Shut your whore mouth...” It’s working well so far.

If you can survive 'Nam - and thank you for your service - you have a solid shot of surviving this board. This isn't life or death, just a mix of passion and child-like behavior (guilty.)

Would be good to get a potent 5. Agree.

When??
if its not with Jesse and Frank, its when we get a new coach in all likelihood

In terms of entertainment value, which should not be underestimated, our best center was Cat Rescue Man. Will we get another?
