The fact Florida State is favored by 20 points against the 2nd best ACC team is disturbing.

However,
Maryland @ Syracuse
Iowa @Pittsburgh
Miami @ Nebraska

along with North Carolina @ East Carolina (somehow UNC is -2)
Virginia @ BYU. (I said before the year UVA had a lot of talent and if London can coach even a lick that team should win 6 games. He is lucky Jon Tenuta is coaching that defensive talent really well.)

Of these 5 games the ACC need a minimum of 3 to establish itself closer to Pac-12 and Big XII than closer to the Big Ten which is clearly 5th this year.

I don't see UVa beating BYU. They'll play them close, but I don't see the Cavs winning that game.

UNC/ECU is a toss up. ECU destroyed them last year, but the recent history of their series has UNC winning 4 or 5 in the row, then ECU winning, followed by UNC winning 4 or 5 in a row again. UNC has been lucky with their wins so far this season. And ECU looks like they will contend for the AAC crown, so I think ECU bucks the trend and puts two wins in a row on the Tar Heels.

Iowa/Pitt - before the start of this season, I thought this would be a loss for the Panthers. And we know how Pitt usually falls flat on its face against OOC foes, but then wins the conference games you don't want them to win. Still, Iowa isn't as good as I thought they would be and Pitt has been looking much better than I thought they would. I think Pitt wins this at home

Miami/Nebraska - interesting match-up between two former powerhouse Kings that have fallen considerably. Edge to the Huskers because they are at home.

Maryland/SU - I actually think we take this game comfortably.

Overall I see the ACC going 2-3 in these match-ups, but 2-1 against the Big Ten.

Cheers,
Neil

Lines are:
-5 Pitt
-1.5 Cuse
-16 BYU
-3 East Carolina
-7.5 Nebraska

Important for UNC, Cuse and Pitt to win their games; it would be even better if Miami takes out Nebraska.

I like all the favored teams.

No one probably noticed but Nebraska who eaked out a W against a 1AA las weekend bounced back by destroying Fresno.

That UNC-ECU line has shifted 5 points already from yesterday? I saw the line open UNC-2 now its ECU -3?

I think Pitt and BYU are the strongest 2 to win. Syracuse and Nebraska should win, and UNC-ECU pure tossup. I can't see Shane Carton averaging 18.6 yard per completion this week.

I am heading down to Lincoln on Saturday watching the Cuse game at bars then hopefully seeing the ACC get two wins over the Little 10 this weekend. I used to hate when people cheered for the conference but since we have been in the ACC I do it myself as well.
